One of my favorite things as a home cook is trying out different dishes and making fusion recipes. Tell me, I'm not the only one!
Typically, we prepare beef as spicy curry but sometimes trying different dishes boosts our taste buds, doesn't it?
A few days ago, I made this recipe. I wouldn't claim this as an authentic one as I made some changes in the recipe. Also, this was my first time so I went with my guts. But don't worry, this recipe is similar to the original one. Instead of frying the beef in beef fat, I fried it in cooking oil because my family members don't like the smell of beef fat. Otherwise, the rest of the recipe is quite similar.
Let's see the recipe.
Ingredients:
- 300gm of beef
- Gigenger garlic paste
- Green and dried red chili
- onion
- Turmeric and salt
- Cooking oil and water
The ingredients are simple. I have avoided the garam masala/hot spices. If you like them, you can add cinnamon or other spices too.
Let me share the detailed recipe.
Step-by-step process:
First, marinate the beef with turmeric and salt for 15 minutes. Then fry them in medium heat for several minutes, on both sides, until they turn brown.
Add the ginger and garlic along with the onion slices and cook them well. Put a lid on and cook them on medium-low heat.
Add half a cup of water and cook on slow heat for several minutes.
When it cooks properly, it will look like this.
Add a pinch of sugar (optional) and some green chili and cook them for a minute. You can serve this dish like this if you want.
We enjoyed a few and then followed the next step for extra flavor and taste.
Fry the beef in cooking oil or beef fat (if you like) along with some garlic and dried red chili.
Fry them until they become crispy and golden brown.
They are ready to serve.
You can enjoy them with rice or eat them solo. The fried texture of the beef is one of my favorites. And the fried garlic and chili add an extra boost to the state.
I hope you will like the dish too.
