For this week my participation is with first question:

Memories are a wonderful thing! They help us to remain close to family and friends when distance is a barrier. The question is: What is the youngest memory you have? What was the memory and how old were you at the time?

Among the many memories that come to mind, there is one in particular that I can remember as if it were yesterday. I was only 9 years old and I was studying in fifth grade. That day, the teacher asked us the multiplication table and I didn't know how to answer. Instead of hitting me on the hand with a ruler, as she used to do, she hit me on the head and made me hit against the blackboard. I remember clearly how I felt at that moment.

When my father found out what happened, he was about to take drastic measures and take the matter to the school authorities to have the teacher fired. However, my aunt intervened and asked my father to give her a chance. Although angry and hurt at first, my father decided to follow my aunt's advice.

Some time passed and I returned to the school, but this time as a secretary. To my surprise, the teacher who had beaten me was still working there. During that time, I was also studying at night school to complete my high school studies, and it turned out that the town where I was studying was the same place where she lived. As time went by, my relationship with that teacher began to change.

We became very good friends and she became my counselor. She gave me unconditional support and also offered to drive me wherever I needed to go to attend my classes. It was thanks to her that I was able to finish my studies without any difficulties.

This memory taught me a valuable lesson: sometimes, even from the most negative experiences, positive things can emerge. As the word of God says in Romans 8:28, "and we know that for those who love God, all things work together for good." Although that incident was painful at the time, because of it I was able to find a sincere friendship and invaluable support on my path to education.

I omit the name of the teacher, because she died some years ago of cancer.

Thanks for reading and commenting, see you soon.

Even with a not so good event, you were the better for it in the end. I'm glad things worked out, but also sorry she hit you back then. Thanks for sharing and have a lovely day!🤗💜

Hi elizabethbit, thanks for commenting and for reading my post. Yes the ending was very nice, a very kind hearted person and very good counselor.

🤗💜

It seems that she was not a bad person, and you don't know what must be going on within her in that moment to behave so bad with you. Later on you got along so well with her shows that she was a kind lady.

Hi nainaztengra, actually he was a very good person, but one does not know to what extent the students take teachers out of their minds. I say this from my own experience, I was working 22 years as a primary school teacher, there were cases of cases. The different characters of the children, there were times when one wanted to run away; but I think that because of my experience with that teacher, I knew how to control myself.
Thank you for commenting.
