Hello to all the beautiful ladies of Hive!
I would like to answer this question for contest no. 85:
How do you handle corrections or criticisms from other people?
To start with, Point No. 1:
no matter what I do, I will always face criticism from someone.
And Point No. 2:
no matter how good or bad the criticism is, I always take that in a healthy spirit.
Above 2 points are my mantra to manage criticism and corrections in my day to dal life.
People criticize because they have their opinions. And that's good in a way, it means you are surrounded by knowledgeful people who think through. If you are not receiving any criticism, it means people around you are not equipped enough to help and support you.
But the criticism you receive need not be followed or appreciated always. You always have to option to listen and ignore/forget about it if you feel it is not good enough or invalid. Criticism should not be taken to your emotional side, it should always be dealt with by the practical side of you. If we bring into the equation our emotions, we might end up hurting ourselves. We might feel that we have done so much hard work and other people just passed a comment which talks about what wrong we have done. With a mix of emotions, we might not be able to rationally appreciate the criticism and act on it, even if it is good criticism. Hence it is very important to let you brain deal with those harsh words pragmatically and do the needful.
I deal with criticism very positively because it's a way for me to learn more, to extract most from the people I am surrounded.
