A really great feature in Ecency is the Token Exchange marketplace that has been built into Ecency. Recently I have found myself using more and more and really getting to like it.
This is an interface for the internal market where you can trade Hive and HBD for free, which is pretty great.
To access the marketplace, you goto your wallet, and then under the gliff for say HBD, you can select trade token.
From there it will take you directly to the Token Exchange.
The first screen you see when arriving is the swap screen. There are 3 main options in the Token Exchange, Swap, Limit or Advanced. I will run through these transactions now.
Swap
Swap allows you to do a basic trade transaction where the tool will select the latest price in the market and give you a price. Here you click on your Hive balance or type in how much Hive you want to swap to HBD and you get your price.
Limit
Limit allows you more options to select a price outside of the current market price and therefore to wait until the market moves to your price, or if you are unlucky, against it.
To Buy or Sell, you can quickly click your Hive or HBD balance that you want to make a limit order for and click buy or sell. Alternatively, you can also type in the value you want to trade.
Advanced
The option that I always use is the advanced option, where I can see more of the market bredth and the trend over the last 24 hours. I can then select the price I want from the market.
Here you can also select your balances so that you can make some quick transactions, like here I select my HBD balance to convert to Hive. On the right side you can see the historical transactions which is useful to give you an idea of the volume and activity.
Once you are happy with your price, you can click buy or sell and then you are asked to confirm the transaction.
You of course then need to confirm the transaction with Keychain as you usually do.
Once you click confirm you are then pretty much done.
This is confirmed when you can click finish and you see success in Keychain.
Another feature that you can use is to change to dark mode.
Have you used the Token Exchange yet? What features do you like?
Thanks for reading.
