Good morning hivers! I am very busy lately due to the shift my working schedule.

I'm glad I'm on track once again because of my friend @fixyetbroken. We are together for three days and she reminded to continue my hive journey for fun and documention purposes.

I was discouraged because I don't have the photography skills to share in a nice way. She said, "Just do it for fun." I will take this a challenge to do it for a year.

I hope I could find this platform as venue for self growth in terms of writing and in sharpening once mind
because I felt that I am in a stagnant state of life.

I believe everything will change in perfect time! Jusf do it one step at a time. :)

I hope I can find my way in back inpeakd after months of rest. To start with, I would like to share my funny experience on this photo.

We were assigned to decorate the "Karo" of St John the evangelist two months ago. We just said yes even if I know in myself that I do not have the experience to do it since my classmate assured me that everyone will help on this. Okay, GO!

Everyone was busy and we don't have the ample preparations in doing the decoration. Ahead of time, I messaged our President that I will not be able to do our part becaise of the training. The president was calling the attention of the designated person to do the task and I realized that we were the one assigned to that task (I thought I was safe.) in doing the flower arrangement for the "Karo". The funny thing was no flowers have ever purchased that time.

I went to Carbon to buy flowers and I ask someone to do the finish product. I'm grateful to Ma'am! She's an angel in disguise to me that time to save us from stress. She asked me if I do have a car then I replied I don't have.

She asked someone to prepare two boxes for the flowers so that the flower arrangement won't be disfigured. The second "problem" was there were no taxi that time and it was an amazing timing the jeepney's passing as if it was prepare the front seat for the flowers to be the passsenger of that day. Salute also to Kuya driver that he initiated to drop me in thw Vhire's Terminal instead of sending us off in the terminal. He said that "Ihatod lang tika Ma'am aron duol na lang ka'g bitbitan". Thanks Kuya! You are the second angel for me that time.

God will send us instruments to help us in our needs and troubles in this passing life.

The Feast Day was celebrated last December 27, 2024. St John the Baptist is the Patron Saint of Lectors and Cantors.

I’ve also helped decorate our Chapel's karo and our school's andas for Karansa, and I can say flower arrangement is such a coveted skill! It's so satisfying watching the process come together.

That's amazing! If you are expert to that ski @lizhavesomefun you can convert fun into a profitable one. It seems easy to look at however in reality it's veey difficult. Onevday, I will practice on how to do it by myself. :) Thanks for dropping by.

I thought it's St. Cecilia, the patroness of the lectors and cantors. Well, anyway, just like @fixyetbroken, she enjoyed her journey in Hive. It only depends on us on how we see this platform and how it could affect our lives physically, mentally, and emotionally. It's good to see you back here. 🫶

True enough cup-bearer it's matter of perspective jud Ma'am. Thank you. ♡

I'm a man by the way. 😄

Sorry for the mis salutation Sir. I should look better next time. (I thought you're looj like my colleauge sis Kim Sir)

Welcome back and STAY WITH IT ... you will do well if you are faithful on Hive in the coming year!

A couple of tips to develop your photography skills ... your eye develops as you take more photos. Take five of everything, then look at them. You will notice that as you take five photos, you will make adjustments or see the best of the adjustments you have made after the fact.

  1. You will notice which of your photos is least blurry, and you will think about what you adjusted to get that picture to be better than the rest

  2. You will notice which of your pictures is the most straight in terms of not being tilted, and you will think about what you did to get that picture will be better than the rest

  3. You will start to notice what you want to center in your pictures, and different ways of doing that

  4. You will notice what pictures make the most sense to you, and start to develop a style

Take five photos of everything! Pick out the best one, and understand why it is the best, and go take even more photos using what you learned, and repeat the process. Professional photographers often take at least 2-3 photos of the same scene, so starting with five is not far away!

Thanks for the tips @deeanndmathews. :)

Welcome back!

I was discouraged because I don't have the photography skills to share in a nice way. She said, "Just do it for fun." I will take this a challenge to do it for a year.

You can easily improve your skills. Just go out and do it a lot. Read some more about techniques and composition and practice. Look at photos from others and try to discover what you like about them. You can join some of the contests here on Hive. I make a weekly post with all the photocontests. I also have a Hive Photographers Discord where you can ask photography related questions.

Good luck!

Thank you for the thought! I hope I could use all your inputs in due time.

A remarkable showcase of skill! Such expertise is admirable.

Indeed Ma'am! she can also make a boquet of flowers for the bride. Her petname was "Karya" located at Carbon Market. You can contact her if needed.
