Hello Needleworkers..
It's an exciting new week and time to share beautiful projects from last week.
Let's talk about Eniola's bridal shower dress.
Eniola had her bridal shower on Saturday and I'm so glad to be a part of her love story.
I met Eniola sometime in 2022 at an event. We were seat partners and connected from there.
Ever since then, I've been keeping up with Eniola and I've made outfits for her twice.
This time was one of a kind outfit which I made for her. She reached out to me that she wanted me to make her bridal shower outfit a week ago. Although I had a lot on my plate I couldn't turn her down.
You know how one feels to be disappointed on their big day. I didn't want her to feel that way. I kept my school project on hold and dove into her project.
The materials I worked with were ribbon, net, cup, and bonning.
The style required lots of attention and commitment and working with mesh is no joke.
I used the Size 14 HA needle as it works better on mesh.
I worked with 8yards of mesh and cut the upper bodice in form of an off shoulder.
The cups were used to make corset underneath and covered with another mesh and the banning gave the outfit a structure and firmness.
It took about 4hours to complete this project without distractions.
The lower bodice wasn't tough at all as it was just gathers. I achieved this dividing her waistline by four and run it through the net gathered stitches.
Thus is what the front of the outfit look like.
The back was the most exciting part of this project. I secured it with a fancy fastener. I used a matching lace fastener (ribbon) and made a loop for it.
Immediately I sent the image of this outfit to Eniola, she screamed and couldn't stop talking about her dress.
I delivered the dress to Eniola on my way to school on Friday and I'm yet to receive a picture of her rocking the outfit. She called me to thank me for making her look good on Saturday and that as soon as her professional photos are out she'll send them to me.
These are the different angles of the outfit and this is my favorite project in February.
Images used belong to me. Outfit was made by me
