Good evening everyone trust we all are doing well?
Today I will show you how I sew a long straight bubu body fitted gown.
Here are the things needed for this gown.
I have my jukun attire, it's a traditional attire here in taraba state, from the jukun people, I have my lining, baby lace, zip and my duchess material.
First thing I fold my material by two and measure out my hand pit eight inches and my neck for the back by two inches for the length and width by five inches and cut it out, after that I place the front part on the other side of the material and cut out the back and given out my two inches allowance for zip, and for the front the neck length is by four inches and the wideness also is by four inches.
And I cut out my hand by eighteen inches, and I also cut out my baby lace that I will be using to design the dress at the neck and the down part of the front of the gown in two places.
And this is how it looks for the front and how the design is going to look.
After that I cut out my lining for each part of the cloth, and my duchess material for the baby lace, and proceed to lining up everything and then I proceeded to fix the baby lace on the front.
After lining I proceed to iron everything, fix my zip and my hand and join everything together and here is the outcome of the gown.
Thanks for going through my post.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend, see you all by next week.
