I'm here with you all today to share with you on the step by steps process i carried in cutting and sewing of this beautiful flexing handbag for my dear sister.
It been a long time since my senior sister wanted this handbag, that was last year, i sewn the first handbag for my personal use using red lather and she got jealous then asked me to sew one for her and i should use deep green color of lather for her, i was like okay i will but i didn't have enough money with me to buy the lather for her but i still have it in mind and i took it as a promise, well, getting to this new year i didn't forget the forget the promise, i remember her birthday which is coming up next tomorrow, that is Wednesday 8, so i want to use as a surprise to her since i have ni other gift to give to her, i went and bought the deep green lather that she requested with other materials.
The materials used are:-
Green lather
Green thread
Green zip
Tape
Siccors etc
let get started
I firstly keep the lather on the floor, i marked out the two sides of the length and width, i then marked the round bottom length and width, at the same time i marked out the zip flab and the two sides hand, then i cut them out.
Measurements for side is 9.5 inches by 5 inches and i make use of two pieces.
For the round bottom the measurements is 3 inches by 17 inches and i need only one piece.
For the hand i measure out 1.5 inches by 12 inches.
For zip flab i measured out 2 inches by 11.5 inches.
Here is all the pattern for the bag.
Sewing process.
I first of all sew the hand by bending it together to face both side and then make a double sewing on the hand.
After sewing the hand, i proceed to insert the zip, after inserting the zip i the sew on top of it to have a smooth finishing.
I then joined the round bottom to the zip flab to have the center round of the bag.
I joined it at both end and here is the outcome of it.
I then proceed by sewing the hand at the top, spacing by 2 inches from the center.
Here is the outcome after sewing down the hand on the zip flab.
I then sew the first side pattern to the round center of the body and here is the outcome.
I finally sew the second side to the center round also to make the back ready.
Here is the outcome from the wrong side.
I then remove from the wrong side to the right side, i then double stiches them round to make it strong.
Here are the finish picture of the bag.
It came out so nice and beautiful, the deep green color is beautiful, i Senior sister will be so excited seeing it, i hope you all like it.
