Greetings to all my beloved family and friends, hope you all are doing very well wherever you are and enjoying the Christmas season with the beautiful and nice weather, today is the happiest day of my life, I upcycled an old long trousers jeans into short and a baby's short skirt, so I will be sharing with you all on the steps I carried.
As I said previously today is the happiest day of my life, creating something old to new is something that surprises people, these long jeans have been with us for years, my sister bought them when I did not even know how to handle jeans trousers, it was a very good quality material, you know that quality jeans or any good quality material last as long as you want as far as you handle them with care, my sister never joke with it, I started loving this Jean as my sister did, so she brought out some west cloth to burn because we do not like giving out something west or too old to people, I walked close to her and sew this Jean that we loved most, I took it out.
She told me it was old, I told her I didn't want to waste it and that I would transform it into something new, she was laughing at me, so the next day I brought my junior sister's machine out and I measured out the length and marked it down.
Then I went and bend the down hem, here is what it looks like.
After bending it I now use the down trouser hem and lose the two sides out then I cut it out to my baby's shape measurements.
I now cut out the waistband and turned out the waist.
After sewing in the waistband I now joined the front and the back side skirt together then I bend the down hem of it.
After everything I went to the iron and gave out a beautiful design tone bead.
So here is the outcome of my upcycling work.
It came out very nice, my sister and other people were so shocked seeing the outcome of it, upcycling an old long trouser Jean into a short and baby short skirt, especially the design I gave on my baby skirt, now some of my neighbors brought their old Jean for me to upcycle for them, people now believe that we the seamstress can make things happen, i hope you love them.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog.
