Hello Needlework Lovers✨
Recently, I have seen a few crochet jewelry designs and believe me when I say that my gallery is filled with such designs that I intend to replicate. However, for my first replication, I decided to make this lovely double coloured crochet earrings(with a flower motif).
I really loved how this particular set of earrings looked and it took me about thirty minutes to make two pairs of the earrings. The main issue however was how to get earring loops.
For days, I searched the shops around my vicinity for the loops but I couldn't find anything. I even went as far as asking friends if they had any idea as to where I could get the loops and they all referred me to the main market. Reluctantly, I gave up actively searching. Eventually, I visited the market tjis week and that was the very first thing I searched for. After all, they say seek and you shall find.
Materials Used
- 3.0mm crochet hook
- yarn
- earning needle
- earring loops
- a pair of scissors
Procedure
I started by making a magic ring. Into the magic ring, I made a chain of ten half double crochet stitches.
Once I finished with the stitches, I drew my ends to tighten. With that, I made a slip stitch to mark the end of the first row.
For the second row, I changed the yarn colour. With the new yarn, I began making the petals.
For the petals, I made a slip knot with the new yarn and then proceeded to make a slip stitch into one of the rows from the circle. Into the same row, I made a cluster of double crochet stitches(three into the same space).
Next, I chained one, made a slip story into the next space, chained one again and into the next space, I made another cluster.
I repeated this till I got a total of five petals. All the while, I made sure to work over my loose yarn to prevent unnecessary sewing in at the end.
Once I got to the end of the project, I made a slip stitch into the begging chain, tightened it and then fastened off.
With that, he major part of the project was done. The next part involves attaching the earring loops.
With precision, I attached the loops and this brought me to the end of the project.
Personally, I thought the pair of earrings came out looking so lovely. This seems as a really beautiful craft to gift a friend. Would you love to receive these earrings as a gift?
