This fungus often appears in the rainy season and can be found in various places such as forests, gardens and parks. The scientific name Gymnopus foetidus comes from Latin, where "foetidus" means bad smelling.
The Gymnopus foetidus mushroom is characterized by its white color and long, smooth stems. Usually, these mushrooms grow in dense groups and next to each other. At the bottom of the hood, there are lamellae or gills which function as a place for fungal spores to be released.
