The Gymnopus foetidus mushroom or better known as the bad-smelling mushroom is a type of beautiful and amazing mushroom. This fungus often appears in the rainy season and can be found in various places such as forests, gardens and parks. The scientific name Gymnopus foetidus comes from Latin, where "foetidus" means bad smelling.

The Gymnopus foetidus mushroom is characterized by its white color and long, smooth stems. Usually, these mushrooms grow in dense groups and next to each other. At the bottom of the hood, there are lamellae or gills which function as a place for fungal spores to be released.

One of the things that makes the Gymnopus foetidus fungus interesting is the smell it has. This mushroom has a quite strong and unpleasant aroma, making it easy for mushroom observers to recognize. Even though it has an unpleasant odor, this mushroom is still interesting to observe and study because of its beauty and unique shape.
