In street photography there are many scenarios that can be used at different times of the day, even at night it is fantastic to take pictures in the city. However, I believe that the most attractive time is during sunsets, so we can take advantage of what we call the blue hour and also the golden hour and from there work on the compositions.
All this depending on the equipment we have at our disposal obviously, in my case I had a 70-300mm lens, these photos belong to the most recent tour that I mentioned in my previous post, short walk of 15 minutes.
En la fotografía de calle existen muchísimos escenarios que se pueden aprovechar en diferentes horas del día, incluso en la noche es fantástico tomar fotos en la ciudad. Sin embargo yo creo que el momento más atractivo es durante los atardeceres y así poder aprovechar lo que llamamos la hora azul y también la hora dorada y a partir de allí trabajar en las composiciones.
Todo esto dependiendo de los equipos que tengamos a nuestro alcance obviamente, en mi caso tenía un lente 70-300mm, éstas fotos pertenecen al más reciente recorrido que les mencioné en mi post anterior, corta caminata de 15 minutos.
This photo is very interesting in terms of tones, light and composition, it was not planned at all but I love how you can appreciate the signs of the subway stations, the cars, buildings in the background and on the right side part of the subway station.
Ésta foto es muy interesante en cuanto a los tonos, luz y composición, no fué planeada en lo absoluto pero me encanta como se puede apreciar los carteles de las estaciones del subterráneo, los autos, edificios en el fondo y del lado lateral derecho parte de la estación del metrobus.
It was on Cabildo Avenue in the city of Buenos Aires. Here you can see one of the buses, line 152 with people getting on and off the bus.
Estaba en la Avenida Cabildo en la ciudad de Buenos Aires. Acá se puede observar uno de los buses, línea 152 con personas descendiendo y subiendo a la unidad de transporte.
By the way spring is here, it would be nice to have a picture of a tree or branches like this, right? Although the weather during the afternoons is warmer, it seems that what is left of winter doesn't want to leave and the cold winds don't stop, there are still some very cold nights. Little by little the city is getting dressed in beautiful spring colors that I must capture to share photos of Buenos Aires in this season of the year.
Do you remember the previous photo? Bus 152, well... Here below we have the other side of the avenue but with the bus line 68, they were a little later and the heavy traffic was already noticeable.
Por cierto ya llegó la primavera, No estaría demás una foto de un árbol o ramas así, ¿Cierto? Aunque el clima durante las tardes es más cálido parece que lo que queda de invierno no quiere irse y los vientos fríos no cesan, incluso aún quedan noches muy frías. Poco a poco la ciudad se va vistiendo de hermosos colores primaverales que debo capturar para compartir fotos de Buenos Aires en esta estación del año.
¿Recuerdan la foto anterior? Bus 152, bueno... Acá abajo tenemos el otro lado de la avenida pero con el bus de línea 68, eran un poco más tarde y ya se notaba la fuerte afluencia de tráfico.
The following photo was a test and I think it would have looked better if I had taken it earlier in the day with a clearer sky and more light. Still the idea was to make a contrast in the composition between light and shadows in this case of one of the buildings with the sky light.
La siguiente foto fué una prueba y pienso que hubiese quedado mejor si la hubiese tomado en horas más tempranas con un cielo más despejado y con más luz. Aún así la idea fué hacer un contraste en la composición entre luz y sombras en este caso de uno de los edificios con la luz del cielo.
Arriving the sunset or rather already during the sunset I decided to make another type of photos.... When I say or write DOF I mean the depth of field with its acronym in English and I dedicated about 3 photos to this.
I wanted this kind of results a little bit dark and where I only focus on the yellow traffic light, in the background we have a blur with the sunset and now that I think about it with a 85mm lens it would have been more interesting this shot. It doesn't mean that with the 70-300mm I didn't like it but I'm always demanding more and learning from every picture I take.
Llegando el atardecer o mejor dicho ya durante el atardecer decidí hacer otro tipo de fotos... Cuando digo o escribo DOF me refiero la profundidad de campo con sus siglas en inglés y le dediqué unas 3 fotos a ésto.
Quería este tipo de resultados un poco oscuros y dónde solamente hiciera foco en el semáforo en amarillo, en el fondo tenemos un desenfoque con el atardecer y ahora que lo pienso con un lente 85mm hubiese sido más interesante ésta toma. No quiere decir que con el 70-300mm no me haya gustado pero siempre estoy exigiendome más y aprendiendo de cada foto que hago.
Here the depth of field is intensified and it is more noticeable when we capture smaller things or objects such as some branches and we get an interesting bokeh of more lights from the cars.
Acá la profundidad de campo se intensifica y es más notorio cuando capturamos cosas u objetos más pequeños como el caso de algunas ramas y nos queda un bokeh interesante de más luces de los autos.
I also did another test with the wheel of one of the motorcycles that was parked on the spot. These last photos with an ISO at 800 and low shutter speed.

También hice otra prueba con la rueda de una de las motos que estaba estacionada en el lugar. Estas últimas fotos con un ISO a 800 y baja velocidad de obturación.
