Hello Splinterfans!
It has been a crazy few weeks with some amazing changes in the game and the biggest one was the changed to the ranked battles and leagues. I wasn't sure about this before, but then I started playing and it has been a great blast playing, totally exceeding my expectations.
I had thought that how would this work and what about progressing up. But it has totally changed the whole dynamic of the game to make it alot more fun. I was getting abit bored that I had gold level cards but spent over half the season in silver and not being able to use my leveled up cards. It seems my prayers were answered and now I am using maxed out cards in bronze!
This seems like a such a genius move by the team. Instead of facing off boring bronze or silver level decks, you can now face off against all sorts of decks based on their ranking Having that extra leveled up card can give you a nice edge sometimes and it feels that having leveled up cards now really pays off.
I can also now cross off one of my goals I intended for the year to stay in gold, now I can just level up cards that I like and play how I want to. The end of season rankings were not really meaning too much anyhow due to the algorythm.
This comes on top of the great improvement of rewards. I think I probably had one of my best end of season rewards ever last season. It's pretty amazing!
I have been able to take down Quora Towershead very easily with my deck in bronze, before she might have posed a problem!! haha
With that in mind, I have still been buying a few key cards that I want leveled up to help me. I didn't realise that I didn't have a Unicorn Mustang, so it was a new addition aswell as leveling up my Arkemis the Bear! He now has more bite than before!
Summary
With this change, the whole dynamic of the game has change and improved for the better for human players. Now you can rent max level cards and use them, even if you are in bronze which would be great fun!
If you already have a pretty good deck, then you can enjoy playing more without slogging away to get in the right league first. This will be great for the cards market too, it could lead to good cards being snapped up pretty fast.
How do you rate the new ranked play?
