Hello Splinterfans!
This week I have thought about 5 tips that could help out new players to Splinterlands and set you on the right path in the game. These are just some of the things that I think are good to be aware of when playing and for helping you get the best out of the game.
Tip 1
The first tip I can recommend is to be aware of the awesome Splintercards resource for all things Splinterlands.
The website has all the information you possibly would want to know about Splinterlands and it is organised in a really user friendly way. It has all the token pricing information through to detailed card information.
Here you can find out all the card information you would ever need, from how many copies were minted to how many you need to level up and pricing information. It was and still is a great resource for me in Splinterlands.

Tip 2 Baron's Toolbox
My 2nd tip is another tool that I find really helpful, particularly when playing the game. It has many functions, but what I like the most, is that it re-arranges the UI/UX so that you can choose your monsters by ability/mana unlike the standard UI.
I prefer to play the game with this optimised UI and I think it makes playing easier too. This is not the only things that you can do with Barons. There is also the possibility to evaluate your assets and create some cool Splinterlands frames.
The Baron's Toolbox is available as a chrome extension from their website and gives you some cool things to play with.
Tip 3 Game Rulesets/Abilities lookup
If you have installed the Baron's Toolbox, something that you will want to look at and use frequently is the quick lookup of the different game rulesets and the different monster abilities until you become familiar with them.
When you click one of them, it gives you a really helpful list of the different rulesets and abilities that you can check quickly when needed.
It is also much more user-friendly presented than other places that you may find it.
Tip 4 Join a Guild
If you decide you want to play regularly, then joining a guild could be a good thing to do because it will give you some interaction in the community as well as many other benefits such as earning extra SPS/Merits and the possibility to earn Glad Cards which can give you some extra playing options in the game.
The battles are usually once a week and you play against other teams and who gets the most wins is the winner of that brawl. You can share tips, news and tactics with your guild members and get even more fun out of the game.
Tip 5 Follow Splinterlands Social Media
There are many community and player accounts on the social media networks that are worth following for many reasons. There are regular competitions and giveaways and some good news and banter about the game to be found out.
I am following accounts on Twitter/X plus of course Hive. If you are also writing articles on Hive, then it can be worth to consider the weekly challenges as they can help you learn the game faster with the battle mages and also you can earn some extra Hive that you can use to build your earnings and deck too.
I hope these tips and tools might be helpful, let me know in the comments if you have any others that could be useful.
Thanks for reading.
