Hello friends. I haven't been able to write for my blog for a while. Some of you may know, I had an accident, some issues came up and for a while, I couldn't go on bicycle tours like before. Now, as someone who has left everything behind, I feel eager to return to the field. This morning when I woke up and checked the weather forecast, I was a bit pleased to see that it was cloudy around here. Because the weather suddenly got warmer. Riding a bike seems to be more enjoyable in cooler weather. I took my bike and set off and shortly after, I found myself in front of the museum. This is the starting point of my route: Antalya Archaeology Museum. It's one of my favorite museums. I've mentioned it in my previous posts. Maybe you remember. This museum mainly exhibits statues found in the ancient city of Perge.
Merhaba arkadaşlar. Bir süredir yazamıyordum. Bazılarınız biliyorsunuzdur, kaza yaptım, araya bazı sorunlar girdi ve bir süreliğine eskisi gibi bisikletli turlara çıkamaz oldum. Şimdilerde her şeyi geride bırakmış biri olarak kendimi tekrar sahalara dönmekte istekli hissediyorum. Bu sabah kalktığımda hava durumu tahminlerine baktığımda bizim buraların havasını bulutlu görünce biraz sevindim. Çünkü havalar bir anda aniden ısındı. Bisiklet sürmenin keyfi sanki serin havalarda daha fazla çıkıyor. Bisikletimi alıp yola çıktım ve kısa süre sonrasında kendimi müzenin karşısında buldum. Burası rotamın başlangıç noktası: Antalya Arkeoloji müzesi. Sevdiğim müzelerden biridir. Önceki yazılarımda sizlere biraz bahsetmiştim. Belki hatırlarsınız. Bu müzede ağırlıklı olarak Perge antik kentinde bulunan heykeller sergilenmekte.
Today, I decided to explore Konyaaltı district by bike. It was an enjoyable activity for me. Konyaaltı is one of the most beautiful districts of Antalya. With its endless beaches, turquoise sea, lush and peaceful parks, rich nature, and countless amenities, Konyaaltı is a favorite of both tourists and locals. I also want to add that it's great for sports enthusiasts. It's a suitable place for outdoor sports such as running, walking and cycling. It has a bike path stretching along the coast. After the museum, I crossed the road to the viewing terrace. This place is also known as the promenade. It has one of the most beautiful views of the Mediterranean and the Taurus Mountains. There is also a monument to the martyrs right next to the terraces.
Bugün Konyaaltı ilçesini bisikletle gezmeye karar verdim. Benim için keyifli bir etkinlik oldu. Konyaaltı Antalya'nın en güzel ilçelerinden biri. Upuzun sahilleri, turkuaz denizi, yemyeşil ve huzurlu parkları, zengin doğası ve sayamadığım birçok imkanlarıyla hem tatilcilerin hem yerlilerin gözdesidir Konyaaltı. Ayrıca sporseverlerin de diye eklemek istiyorum. Koşu, yürüyüş, bisiklet gibi açık havada yapılan sporlar için çok da uygun bir yerdir. Sahil boyunca uzanan bir bisiklet yoluna sahiptir. Müze başlangıç noktamdan sonra yolun karşısındaki seyir terasına geçtim. Burası varyant olarak da bilinmekte. Akdeniz ve Torosların en güzel manzarasına sahip yerlerden biridir. Bir de şehitler anıtı yükseliyor terasların hemen yanında.
To descend from the promenade by bike, we have two options. One is to descend from this hill, which I really like. I can say that there is no stress left when you go down from here.
Varyantlardan aşağıya bisikletle inmek için iki seçeneğimiz var. Bir tanesi bu yokuştan inmek ki bu seçeneği ben çok beğeniyorum. Aşağıya buradan inince hiç stres kalmıyor diyebilirim.
The second option is to descend from the Falez Park right next to it. Following the bike path inside the park, we reach Konyaaltı beach. There is also a panoramic elevator for pedestrians. This elevator can also be used to descend to the beach.
İkinci seçenek ise hemen yan taraftaki Falez parkından aşağıya inmek. Parkın içindeki bisiklet yolunu takip edince Konyaaltı sahiline çıkıyoruz. Ayrıca yayalar için panoramik bir asansör var. Bu asansörden de yararlanılarak sahile inilebiliyor.
My favorite is the hill. Because it leads both to a shortcut and directly to the park called Beach Park on the shore. Here, you can swim in the sea and sunbathe, as well as ride bikes and engage in sports within the park. Sometimes, I also come here for walks in the mornings. Only motor vehicles are not allowed to pass. If you come by car, it's free for up to an hour, and then a fee is charged.
Benim favorim yokuş. Çünkü hem kestirme hem de direkt Beach park adı verilen sahildeki parka çıkıyor. Burada hem denize girilip güneşlenilebiliyor, hem de parkın içinde bisiklet sürülüp spor yapılabiliyor. Bazen sabahları buraya yürüyüşe de geliyorum. Sadece motorların geçişlerine izin verilmiyor. Araçla gelindiğinde ise bir saate kadar ücretsiz, sonrasında ücret alınmaya başlanıyor.
The beaches of Konyaaltı are among the most preferred beaches in Antalya. The beach here consists of small pebbles. Even in the winter months, when the weather is good, sometimes we swim here. I came here to swim a lot this winter and I can say I've seen the benefits. I haven't caught a cold or the flu at all. It seems to work for making the body more resistant to viruses by getting used to the cold.
Konyaaltı plajları Antalya'nın en çok tercih edilen plajlarından. Burada plaj küçük çakıldan oluşuyor. Kış aylarında bile hava iyi olduğunda bazen burada denize girdiğimiz oluyor. Ben bu kış çok sık yüzmeye geldim ve faydasını da gördüğümü diyebilirim. Hiç nezle ya da grip olmadım. Vücudu soğuğa alıştırıp virüslere karşı daha dirençli hale getirmek açısından işe yarıyor bence.
With the arrival of spring, everything has become lively. Trees have bloomed their lush green leaves and colorful flowers have begun to show off. This energy of nature has reflected on me abundantly. After cycling in the park for a while, I continued my route along the Konyaaltı bike path. I passed by Hillside Su and the Antalya Aquarium. I've talked a lot about this place in my previous aquarium visits. Inside, there is an underwater world consisting of various fish and marine creatures. Also, my favorite section is the wild park part, which consists of snakes and various reptiles. If you come next time, I highly recommend visiting it.
Baharın gelişiyle her taraf canlı mı canlı hale gelmiş. Ağaçlar yemyeşil yapraklarını açmış, rengarenk çiçekler boy göstermeye başlamış. Doğanın bu enerjisi bana da fazlasıyla yansımıştı. Parkta bir süre bisiklet sürdükten sonra Konyaaltı bisiklet yolu üzerinden rotama devam ettim. Hillside Su ve Antalya akvaryumunun yanından geçtim. daha önceki akvaryum gezilerimde bu yerden bolca bahsetmiştim. İçeride çeşitli balıklar ve deniz canlılarından oluşan bir su dünyası var. I continued on the bike path. On the right side, city hotels, restaurants, and government buildings rise. On the left side, there are various parks, beaches, and cafes along the coast. There is also a walking and running path. Today, this place was very lively and bustling. I can say that the atmosphere's energy resonated with me abundantly. At one point, I felt like getting off the bike and joining the runners.

Bir de yürüyüş ve koşu yolu var. Bugün burası çok canlı ve cıvıl cıvıldı. Ortamın enerjisi bana fazlasıyla yansıdı diyebilirim. Bir ara bisikletten inip koşu yapanlara katılasım geldi.
There are new places opening up. I liked the decor of this café; I had never seen it before. It's called Sunshine Café and it's located by the beach. The staff told me that they will have their opening after the holiday, and they invited me as well. Maybe I'll come. I enjoy these kinds of unique atmospheres. I liked how they combined flowers with elements of Egyptian mythology; it's very harmonious.

On the right side, there's the Konyaaltı municipality. Right next to it are the Sunisblue residences. The parks and green spaces next to the municipality provide an ideal escape for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

And a kokoreç vendor. The owner of this chain is from Antalya. Starting with a mobile cart and then expanding the business, he turned it into a chain under the brand "Kokoreççi Hilmi", which later became a well-known brand in many parts of Turkey. The restaurant's Antalyaspor decorations catch the eye. With the thought of stopping by for dinner one evening, I continued on my way.

Seyyar arabasıyla başlayıp daha sonra işleri büyütüp "Kokoreççi Hilmi" markası altında bir zincire dönüştürmüş ve sonrasında Türkiye'nin birçok noktasında tanınan bir marka haline gelmiş. Restoranın Antalyaspor dekorları dikkat çekiyor. Bir akşam yemeğinde uğrarım düşüncesiyle yoluma devam ettim.
A baby park along my way. This is a first in Turkey. It's a park exclusively for babies aged 0-5, consisting of two sections: indoor and outdoor. Both babies and families seemed very pleased.

After proceeding for a while longer, I reached the Boğaçay Bridge. There were people fishing at the part where Boğaçay meets the sea. I joined them for a while, sitting by the shore, watching the sea's waters and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. This is a wonderful spot for those who want to focus on the beauty of nature.
Bir süre daha ilerledikten sonra Boğaçay köprüsüne ulaştım. Boğaçayı'nın denize dökülen kısmında balık tutanlar vardı. Sahilde oturup denizin sularını izleyip huzurlu atmosferin keyfini çıkaranlara bir süreliğine ben de katıldım. Burası doğanın güzelliklerine odaklanmak isteyenler için harika bir nokta.
At the last stop of my route, I reached the beginning of the Kemer road. Here, the bike path ended. As I turned back from the upper road, there were a few more places I wanted to visit. I rode my bike around the upper part of Boğaçay. I particularly enjoy the lotus park here. It's one of the places that best reflects the beauty of nature.

Boğaçayı'n üst kısmını biraz bisikletle dolaştım. Buradaki nilüferli parkı özellikle çok beğeniyorum. Doğanın güzelliklerini en iyi yansıtan yerlerden biri.
Afterwards, I stopped by Dostluk Parkı near Boğaçay. This park is famous for Turkish coffee and Matryoshka dolls sculptures. During my visit, a small Ramadan event was taking place. Different regional foods and clothing were being sold in tents. The Matryoshka dolls also complemented the red tents nicely. There were regional dishes such as Çağ kebabı, saç kavurma, yaprak sarma, and others. Evening was approaching, but thinking I might not make it home in time, I bought some food for sahur (pre-dawn meal during Ramadan).
Sonrasında Boğaçayın yakınında bulunan Dostluk parkına uğradım. Burası Türk kahvesi ve Matruşka heykelleriyle ünlü bir park. Ziyaretim sırasında küçük bir Ramazan etkinliği düzenleniyordu. Çadırlarda farklı yöresel yemeklerin ve giysilerin satışı yapılıyordu. Matruşkalar da kırmızı çadırlara iyi uyum sağlamıştı. Yöresel yemeklerden çağ kebabı, saç kavurma, yaprak sarma ve diğer yemekler vardı. Akşam saati yaklaşıyordu ama muhtemelen eve yetişemeyeceğim diye düşünerek sahurda yemek üzere bazı yiyeceklerden aldım.

On the way back, I passed through a park in Gürsu. The park's name is Emek Parkı and there was an exhibition and sale of handcrafted products inside. I watched the products here with interest. Since I also make such bags myself, I pay special attention to the details of the bags. The recent trend of amigurumi toys also had their place on the stands.
Dönüş yolunda Gürsu'daki bir parktan geçtim. Parkın adı Emek parkı içinde de el emeği ürünlerin sergisi ve satışı vardı. Buradaki ürünleri ilgi ile izledim. Kendim de bu tür çantalar yaptığımdan özellikle çantaların detaylarına dikkat ediyorum. Son zamanların modası amigurumi oyuncaklar da standlarda yerlerini almışlardı.

My next stop was the historical Roman bathhouse. The navigation directed me to this narrow street. After a while, I arrived at the Roman bathhouse, standing before me in all its splendor. This bathhouse in the Gürsu neighborhood is one of the oldest remnants in the region. Situated amidst tall buildings, the history of the bathhouse dates back to the imperial era. It has been declared a protected area, and special measures are taken to preserve its historical structure.

Right next to the bathhouse is the Şelale Parkı (Waterfall Park). This park, filled with greenery, also features a tennis court. Here, athletes can enjoy the natural beauty while having the opportunity to engage in sports. There are many parks in Antalya with tennis courts. Tennis can be played in nearby parks by making reservations in advance.

Burası sporcuların doğal güzelliklerin tadını çıkarırken, aynı zamanda spor yapma imkanı sağlamakta. Antalya'da içinde tenis kortu bulunan çok sayıda park bulunmakta. Önceden rezervasyon yaptırılarak yakın olan parklarda tenis oynanabiliyor.
After leaving Şelale Parkı, cycling through the streets of Konyaaltı adorned with Judas trees was a delightful experience. I love these flowers. With their dazzling purple colors, they add vibrancy to the streets, making the surroundings even more enchanting.
Şelale parktan çıktıktan sonra Konyaaltı'nın erguvan çiçekleriyle süslenmiş sokakları bisiklet sürmek keyifli bir deneyimdi. Bu çiçekleri çok seviyorum. Göz alıcı mor renkleriyle sokaklara canlılık katarak, ortamı daha büyülü bir hale getirirler.
On the way back, I passed by Aktur Park and in front of 5m Migros. This is one of the most visited shopping malls in Antalya. Personally, I prefer Özdilek Park more because it's larger and offers more technological amenities. I also sometimes visit Migros. Especially in the summer, I choose to come here occasionally to cool off after the beach and go to the cinema.

Later, I passed by the front of Akdeniz University and headed towards Atatürk Parkı. The tranquil atmosphere of the park, its dazzling view with the lake and green spaces, offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. I often visit the ducks here. Of course, I also visit the cats 🤗
Daha sonra Akdeniz üniversitesinin önünden geçtim ve Atatürk parkına yöneldim. Parkın huzur verici ortamı, göl ve yeşil alanlarıyla göz kamaştıran manzarası, şehrin karmaşasından uzaklaşmak için mükemmel bir kaçış noktası sunuyor. Buradaki ördekleri sıkça ziyaret ederim. Tabii kedilerini de 🐱
And my final destination was Cumhuriyet Meydanı. Dinner time was approaching. In one corner of the square, there was an elderly man playing music, which people were enjoying. The square had turned into a place where time seemed to stand still, and everyone was having enjoyable moments together, leaving their worries behind.
Ve son durağım Cumhuriyet meydanı oldu. Akşam yemeği yaklaşıyordu. Meydanın bir köşesinde insanların keyifle dinlediği müzik yapan bir yaşlı amca vardı. Meydan zamanın durduğu ve herkesin sıkıntılarından uzaklaşarak birlikte keyifli anlar yaşadığı bir yere dönüşmüştü.
The evening was setting in and it was certain that I wouldn't make it home in time for dinner. A restaurant where I always have soup was on my way. I stopped by and ordered one of our community's most controversial soups, the trotter soup.
Hava kararmak üzereydi. Akşam yemeği için eve yetişemeyeceğim kesindi. Her zaman çorba içtiğim lokanta yolumun üstündeydi. Oraya uğrayıp topluluğumuzun en tartışmalı çorbalarından biri olan paça çorbası siparişi verdim.
Meanwhile, a visitor arrived as if invited to the table and comfortably settled on the chair opposite me. We spent a delightful dinner that turned into a pleasant memory with the unexpected visit of this adorable cat. Afterward, I turned on my bike's headlights and headed home.
Bu sırada gelen bir misafirim sanki masaya davet edilmiş gibi rahatça karşımdaki sandalyeye kurulmuştu. Bu sevimli kedinin beklenmedik ziyaretiyle hoş bir anıya dönüşen bir akşam yemeği geçirdikten sonra bisikletimin farlarını yakıp evin yolunu tuttum.
