Decisions Defines Destiny

What makes the difference between twin brothers who grew together under the same parenting, ate the same food, attended the same school, had access to the same connections and opportunities, but one became successful academically, financially, had a great family, lived healthily and had a pleasant life while the other had no income, family, health, and lived a wretched life?

Every single second in a man's life comes with decisions to make whether minor or major, whether to stand up from bed or to stay a little longer, whether to go in search of opportunities or to waith for it to come around, whether to loose some fat or stay at home hope that it will go someday, it goes as far, broad and little as you can think of.

This decisions gather over time to shape or mould our destiny, good or bad. If we all understand this, why then do we pay less attention to our decisions? We make decisions per time without taking in to consideration the consequences in a long run over the momentary pleasure and instant gratification. This is where the word "Discipline" comes in. A man without discipline would most like likely make bad decisions all through his life, and we all know where that leads to.

Back to the twin brothers who found themselves in the opposite sides of life and circumstances even though they were exposed to the same level of opportunities, they made their decisions per time which lead them to their present situation. "We attract what we are and not what we want, and what we are are the choices we make per time" -James Allen.

Another thing about decision is that no one can make them for you, "you can take a horse to the river, but you can't force him to drink from it". Come to think of it, we have only one life to live, some people might never build a house, buy a car, get out of the environment they where given birth to, have a peaceful home, loose weight, or even find love. And this would be a result of the decisions they make at a point in time, the once they are making at the moment, and the once they would make in the future.

A man will remain poor until he makes the conscious decision to change his life by himself. The problem most of us have is that we take life with levity and decisions for granted, knowing fully well that the decisions we make in seconds forms the once we make in minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, and life.

IN CONCLUSION
Opportunities come but once they say but I disagree. God in His infinite mercy has given us timeless opportunities, look around and you will see that it's true. The reason why this moment is called the present is because we are given the gift and opportunities to make new choices and decisions that can either take us a step closer to a desired destiny or make us a step farther away.
