Hello Hivians. How did you spend the San Juan weekend? San Juan is one of my favorite celebrations since I was a little girl. I love the smell of gunpowder and I love making bonfires with my family.
The truth is that it is a celebration that has changed a lot for me as I have grown up and gone through stages. When I was a little girl it was pure fun. We burned old furniture and everything we didn't want to keep in the bonfire. I spent the whole night being a hooligan and throwing firecrackers everywhere with my friends.

When I got a little older the fun was a little wilder. Camping in the mountains, too much alcohol, music and laughter, overflowing with laughter. And maybe not enough clothes too. 😂😂
Now with the kids it's a little different. I'm on the other side of the equation so I have to worry about them not getting hurt. The world has also changed. It is no longer allowed to make bonfires anywhere, let alone burn whatever you want. A couple of years ago I went back to the neighborhood for a visit and there were two police officers checking what was burning.
I think that with luck I will continue to celebrate birthdays and see this wonderful festival from more points of view, but what will not change is the warmth of the fire next to the people I love.
Thank you very much for supporting my blog and I look forward to your comments.!
