Hello everyone at Hive!
Ramadan, the month of fasting and reflection, is in full swing. Today was the 8th day. I woke up before dawn to eat before starting my fast for the day. It's a special time for me, full of spiritual and health benefits.
Throughout the day, as I refrained from eating and drinking, I thought about the importance of this month. It's more than just a religious act; it teaches us self-control and empathy for those who don't have enough food.
As the day passed, I felt a sense of fulfillment from fasting. When it was time to break my fast, I enjoyed dates, dahi bhaley, pakorrey, and apricot chutney.

These dishes hold a special place in my heart, and I'll share their recipes in future posts. Ramadan isn't just about not eating; it's about reflection, discipline, and community.
During Ramadan, I also feel deeply saddened and helpless for the people of Palestine who lack basic necessities like food, water, and shelter, and now even hospitals. The situation is heartbreaking, and it weighs heavily on my heart.
It's a time to walk in the shoes of others, to truly understand the plight of those who go hungry. We are reminded of our duty to help those in need, especially those who don't have enough to eat.
Ramadan urges us to take action, to extend a helping hand to those facing hunger and hardship.
Do you have ideas how can we help those who don't have enough food or money?
