Train annulated

Hello everyone, I think it's the first or one of the first times I participate in the themed topics of the Freecompliments community. As I just saw the post with all the rewards of hsbi's which were sent out, it were really much hsbi!, I wanted to do something back. What could I do better, than write an article. Not just an article, no, an article in the theme of fun fridays! So here we go: a train story from this week.

Above gif is probably a bit misleading. This story has nothing to do with running after a train, it's something else. It was early in the morning when I took the train to get to my work, business as usual, was in time in the station, stepped on the right train and the train started to move. Suddenly the speaker went on and the train conductor was telling us that there were rumors that the train would be annulated from December onwards. I found it a bit strange but he told us not to worry as it were just rumors and nothing official.

It didn't bother me too much, so I started looking at my mobile phone again. A couple of minutes later, 2 persons entered the wagon where I was sitting and started to talk towards everyone. They told us that the train would be annulated and that the information was already on the webpage of the public transportation company. So they started a petition to keep the train, as it's a unique train in the morning. If they would cancel it, I would have to take 3 different trains instead of one. So it wouldn't be very handy for me. I checked out the petition and decided to join the petition. I think it was the first time ever, I signed a petition.

I kep following the results of the petition and the amount of people supporting the petition was growing steadily. 2 days later, I received an email that the organizers already surpassed their goal and that they will go and search for media attention as well to achieve their end goal that the particular train doesn't get annulated. So we'll see in December if the train is still there or not..

Conclusion

But your train will maybe be annulated and you call it funny? Yes, I do. The fact that the train conductor was telling us that there were rumors and a couple of minutes later, someone tells us that it's already on the website, seems quite funny to me. I also found it funny, but genius as well, to start such a petition.
