Rocket League Season 15 is almost over and I need to catch up

in #hive-140217last month

Hello, gamers. I hope you are doing well.

It has been a couple of months since I shared a report on my Rocket League. I couldn't do it because I was not playing the game. There were a lot of reasons for not playing it. I was busy with other games and the friends I used to play with were not playing RL anymore. But I missed it a lot and today I played and recorded a midnight session.

You can expect it to be very rusty and I tried to explain everything in the video. I was very excited at the start of the season but after playing for a week only, I never played it. But there is still a month left in this season for me to get all the rewards and enough credits from the season pass so I can buy the Rocket Pass for the next season as well.

Here is the full, uncut video of this session. Sorry for the bad video quality.

Most of the matches were disastrous. If you leave a couple of them which were close, all of them were just one-sided matches. Players leaving mid games, teammates going AFK and coming back to rage quit after one mistake from the other, destroying the other team or getting destroyed in a min... all of those were the common themes in this session.

I was expecting that in a way. I made a lot of silly mistakes and if you play this game after months you are gonna make mistakes. I didn't even warm up and went straight to the 2v2 ranked matches. This is always a mistake and queuing up at midnight was not a smart move too.

I was missing a lot of simple shots, jumping up with wrong angles, messing up my timings etc. Fortunately, it didn't take a lot of time to catch up and get better. I got paired with interesting teammates as well. Some were good players but others were really bad and some were just very toxic.

But I got a few good shots in between.

I had some moments of brilliance and good pass plays. Watch the above gif, my pass was not great but I went on to bump both the defenders that opened the net for my teammate and he scored an easy goal at the end. Sometimes all you need is a little bump on the opponent to score.

Rocket Pass Updates!

I talked about my Rocket Pass Progress in the video. At the end of this session, I reached tier 38 which is nowhere near my target. My target at the start of the season was finishing at around 150 tier but now I readjusted it to be at tier 100. I will play more in the coming days and get to tier 100 as quickly as I can.

The rewards are not that great for this week. There is just one rocket boost that I like. Even the goal explosions are just bad for this season. Nothing is exciting in the season rewards to report.

Drops and Rewards

I had a lot of unopened rewards and after I finished the recording. I went back and opened a few boxes. I have accumulated 37 common drops and around 15 sports drops. I opened the rare drops as soon as I got them.

I got a few good cosmetics from the Sports drop. One of them was the 'Zenosplash Delux Rocket Boost'. I will keep this equipped for some time.

Time to show my overall stats. I played a total of 8629 career games! I got a healthy win percentage, above 53% and now over 15K career goals (Yeah, I have wasted my life on this game...lol), averaging 1.7 goals per game is not bad at all, especially considering I don't play duels (1v1) much where you score many more goals per game easily.

I love those games that allow you to acquire the paid things by simply dedicating a little more time, I feel that the developers manage to put themselves in the place of the players and understand that there are many who can't afford it or want to save themselves that unnecessary expense. I totally understand about losing the group of friends for a game because they are bored or busy, it's complicated but that doesn't mean we have to stop enjoying our games.

I bought the game when it first came out. After that I never spend any money on it and I have a lot of cosmetics. There are things you need to spend money on but they don't help you in any way in the game.
