Warframe Updates: Grinding resources and completing quests!

in #hive-1402173 months ago

Hello and welcome back to my blog!

I was making good progress in the main storyline of Warframe until I was restricted from starting the next quest called "The New War". This was because the game wanted me to have a "Necramech". These are bipedal machines which you encounter in Demios. "Father" gave me a blueprint for one back when I was in Demios doing missions but the resources needed for it to be built were too many so I never farmed those resources from the open world.

But now to progress in the story, I had to go back to Demios' open world and mine many resources.

As I said, "Father" gave me the blueprint for Voidrig and this thing required four separate parts to build, each of those parts requiring further resources and some of those resources requiring additional resources. I knew this was a big grind. But how could I stop? I had to collect all the stuff and build this machine.

It involved hours and hours of mining in the caves of Cambian Drift, the open-world section of Demios. Mining is mostly RNG and there was no guarantee of dropping minerals which I needed. One of them was so rare that it took me hundreds of veins before dropping a good amount of it.

I fished too when I got bored and went back to mining. But not all resources be gained from mining alone. I had to do some bounties as well. Fortunately, there were always people online who would help me with the Isolation Vault bounties and other missions. You can get rewarded handsomely for those missions.

I would switch to normal star chart missions when those mining sessions become boring. I killed a sentinel beast called Ropalolyst with my weak amp gun. It took almost half an hour...lol.

Apart from doing those star chart missions, I have been completing some side quests as well. There are still a lot of them left, especially the ones under the 'warframe' category.

I have been stalling the Limbo Theorem Quest for a long time. But yesterday I completed it.

It was quite repetitive, go on a planet and do an Excavation mission, find a new part and build it in the Foundry. Repeat for the other parts until you have all of them.

I have also been grinding for some resources in Open World to level up my rank with the syndicates. There are a lot of them in this game, each having a lot of useful items including rare mods, weapons, warframe blueprints and relic packs.

I am trying to collect more Eidolon Shards to rank up for the Quills. These shards are dropped by Eidolon who spawns only at night in The Plains of Eidolon.

I have hunted some with a squad but my weapons are not too strong. Thankfully, you can hunt them in public lobbies and they drop some shards.

Another interesting weekly event is the Ayatan Treasure Hunt from Maroo. She tells us the location of an Ayatan Treasure every week, these missions are not hard and give you the treasure which you can sell for a rare resource, Endo. These Endo are used to upgrade your mods which increases their stats.

I run these missions with Volt because he is fast and these missions are timed base.

I am still MR 10 and got very close to the next Mastery Rank. I have slowed down the buying of weapons and ranking them up to gain more mastery rank. I was getting short on Credits and resources. But now I have a lot more and I should go more aggressively on getting those mastery points.

Thanks for reading.

Looks like you have to give your half day at least (the activities you mentioned might be much time consuming 😅).

Yeah, they are quite time-consuming. But thankfully, not boring apart from mining.

Tell me honestly, how fun this game is? The trailer of this game really amazed me but knowing this is a browser game (that's what I know about Warframe) I somehow thought this might not be as good as they show in the trailer.

No, that's not a browser game. It is like 30-40 GB install (if I remember correctly) on your system which based on the assets and the amount of stuff the game has is very well optimized I would say. They have constant updates and new assets added to the game too. It looks good too with good smooth animations.

It is a bit grindy game, a lot of grind for, unlock a lot of stuff. But the gameplay never gets boring. The community is awesome too.

I see, sounds fun. Thanks for the clarification, bro.

Oh wow bro Warframe is definitely a grind from what I'm seeing, but it's worth it for the satisfaction of building and upgrading. Definitely requires some time commitment. It's difficult for me to play games that are like that except for GTA hehehe

Warframe is quite a collector game with so many resources to keep track of. It sort of becomes silly how many materials there are and how to acquire them. It almost becomes another language when discussing Warframe materials with others!

I'm glad you were able to obtain the materials you required. It definitely takes time and some patience but the gameplay is engaging enough that it doesn't feel too monotonous.

Thank you for sharing! It was a fun read with great photos.

Exactly, the gameplay is not bat at all. Sure it's a grind but never gets boring for me. And thanks for the compliments.
