It's the start of a new month, so that means there's another Garden Journal Challenge out. Thank you to @owasco who did an amazing job last month with the July challenge while @riverflows was travelling. Soon the gardening community should be overflowing with garden journals, but before that happens let's have a look at what people have been sharing this past week.
@friendlymoose seems to have jumped the gun a bit with sharing an update on how wild their garden has gone with them just being away for 3 weeks. It's wonderful what plenty of sun and rain can do and a little bit of planning ahead helped to keep that just for the crops rather than the weeds.
Several times I've come across gardeners growing food on unused land with the permission of the owner. This week @bigorna1 discusses how the abandoned properties around his farm could be a perfect opportunity for both him and the property owners. And if that doesn't tempt you to read then surely the drool worthy photos of the amazing fruits his property is currently producing will entice you to have a look.
@blingit brought us a massive update on what's been happening inside the house with some indoor gardening projects. However, if you prefer outdoor gardening then scroll a bit further for updates on how that's going...along with the chickens.
Why are baby cacti so cute!! It was great news to read that @monster-one is feeling well enough to share photos of his garden I'm always impressed by his cacti and his knowledge of them. It's worth visiting his post for the photos alone!
Beneficiaries go to @bigorna1 and @monster-one
