Discovered a new place to buy plant / saplings

February Garden.png

Ekamra Udyan - the government firm of agriculture department is a huge space sprawling over 27 acres of land in the heart of city where Dad's graduation batch meet happened about which I shared in this post. This is the first time I went here and I was surprised to not have discovered this place earlier. So along with being a photographer of that event, I explored the firm to find out what they are doing and if I can benefit from it - a gardener's instinct never settles.

So the other firm where I always go sells, only flower and decorative plants and saplings, but these guys have it all - flower, fruits, and even vegetable saplings - like a combo of everything.

They are all real - for a moment I thought that vertical rack had artificial plants and I had to touch them to feel it. Now let me show you some spectacular shots from the place showing all varieties of plants.

The entire area was beautifully decorated with several plants.

I liked how they are watering these plants by using some drip irrigation systems that would consume very less water. I am now exploring to implement that idea in our society - it will save a lot of water and most importantly manual effort. There is always something new to learn for a gardener and improvise.

This was tempting - look at that small papaya plant. I am a big fan of papaya and having few plants like this can meet my yearly requirement, and the good news is that they sell these saplings.

Tomatoes not yet ready, but they all look healthy.

Sweet corn - most likely they will be ready to be yielded in couple of weeks. Each plant looks so healthy - showcases the care they do.

And this flower plant has entirely taken over the Jackfruit plant - what a niche idea - Jackfruit always comes over the branch, and this beautifully decorates the area. I am going to bring a stem of this when I go to my native - will do the same there.

This dog came out of nowhere barking at me, I was scared for a moment because recently the kid was scratched by a dog and serving the consequence ( will write in a separate post).

Even this small mango plants had flowers - I loved how they have maintained the place. Since it was a holiday, there were no office staffs, but I inquired some ground staffs about the timings - I can get lot of benefits from this place.

Hope you love the photographic journey of this beautiful place. This post is in response to the The First Official Garden Journal Challenge of 2025

How are you dear friend @sanjeevm good day

How great that you have discovered this new place, as you can see it has a great variety of plants

It is good to know that you are thinking about drip irrigation, it is really a very good system

I hope that the compost that this place prepares is available for sale to the public

I loved this place, everything well organized and very well maintained

I hope you can buy some beautiful plants

Have a beautiful day

Yes, I am going to go again and see what all I can bring.

You are a very good person who loves greenery. And along with your hobby, you are also creating facilities for people's lives. By growing a tree, you eliminate a lot of carbon dioxide and also create oxygen for people.

create oxygen for people.

And for me as well, more importantly a beautiful garden affects our psychology to a great extent. Plants and flowers are like healers, they will always give something back.

Surely, you are on a good path. May Allah keep you steadfast on it.

This garden is amazing. Seeing the beautiful varieties of flowers and vegetables around, is such a fantastic spent of your time.

I just love your gardening work Sanjeevm ji. Its inspiring and encouraging to see that you're doing great work and making this planet a better place

Gardeners contribute a great deal to creating a better environment in our world. These are beautiful garden galleries. Great work 👍

What a beautiful area! I think I would spend all my time there if it were closer to where I lived! We have a greenhouse around the corner from where I live, but they are only open during the summer and they don't have nearly the selection that this place does!

I would spend all my time there if it were closer to where I lived

Same here, had I have enough time, I would be spending most of my day in the garden. Will have to wait till retirement, which can come early if hive goes to 20$ :)

Hive at $20 would give a lot of us more free time for sure wouldn't it!?

Yes, Yes.

Wow, this is beautiful. The garden feel, complete with ornamental plants and much more that are not only visually pleasing but also fragrant and air purifiying is wholesome. Nice one 👍

💗❣️💕💞

Beautiful photos, great discovery, inspiring gardening ideas.

That's a very large garden, sir. This watering method using a drip hose is very water efficient, sir. 👍 Usually we use a drip hose for chili plants.

Usually we use a drip hose for chili plants.

Now its in my list, learning never ends.

Growing your flowers must have been a long and great journey but I’m happy that they are looking healthy
They look beautiful too

Ikrama Garden is located in a big place, really huge. Many things are cultivated there, I was surprised to see that they have cultivated corn. It is a beautiful place to buy seedlings. I laughed reading the dog incident. Dogs are like that, but not all of them. They bark when they see strangers. You can buy almost all kinds of seedlings from this garden.

How I wish I could have an amazing garden like yours. Good job my friend.

Sir a very beautiful place you visited.Looking like a paradise on the earth.Everywhere, there are flowers and green trees.wonderful👍

very nice garden with all plants well kept! from flowers to vegetables to trees

There are many different plants and flowers. It is a beautiful garden. The corn is just a short time away from ripening. I prefer to eat the corn if it is not fully ripe. It looks like the cabbage is a long time away from ripening.

I love how fresh and good looking your garden is. You must have definitely put in a whole lot of efforts in actually maintaining it

This is a nursery I visited, never can manage a huge place like this alone.

Excellent photographs, friend. It is also strange, the truth is, that being so close I did not know that place, which is incredible. I imagine how it must have felt almost like being in paradise.

I also try to do the same, I also go to visit similar places, here we get a lot of different types of flowers and plants and get information about them, which increases our knowledge a lot.

wow, 27 acres is quite the lawn.. :P and such a variety of nature! 😉😎👍

Actually there were 130 acres in total, which was managed by a single entity in the govt. But now they have separated to different units.

whoa! that's super huge! :)

That's surely a great place for plant lovers. I haven't visited similar place but I'll be looking out on Google.

@tipu curate

very beautiful place friend to find a great variety of plants and drip irrigation as you say is the best since it consumes less water and would save us a good amount of work done by man

Oh man I love visiting the nurseries/garden stores in spring! Seeing all of the new plants and smelling the earthy goodness is something else. Ours are still dormant right now but will spring to life in a couple months.

Cant wait for the warmer weather and plan the new parts of our garden this year!

Going to these places, inspires to do more.
