Good day, Hiveans! When you spend your day without a plan, seems no purpose at all, and a waste of time, still a spending day. Being able to spend a day is a gift. Even if you think that having no plan is a waste, being able to use it is not a waste at all. Pointless? Maybe. The message is that I want you to be in a great position while reading my blog.
The picture is the swimming pool of Pasaol Beach Resort. It is located at Camoboan, Tabogon, Cebu. The resort is greatly known in our town during the pandemic time. The pandemic was a great opportunity for local businessmen to promote their businesses since people could not travel to other places to minimize the spreading of viruses. If there was a good thing about the pandemic, was people learned to appreciate more the things they had and realize the importance of time spent with their loved ones.
But today is not about my experience during the pandemic, it will not be about the pictures I used but rather about sharing my thoughts about today and tomorrow.
Have you ever encountered a situation, when a person had a task and was feeling unmotivated to do it and ended up with the task extended for another day? For example, having a haircut, or buying groceries. These things can be done for today and why wait for tomorrow?
One thing I don’t like to hear from the people around me is “We can do it tomorrow” or “There is still tomorrow for that” or “Naapay Ugma” in our dialect. Are we certain that tomorrow can be a good day like today? These would always be my answer when I heard these words, why wait for tomorrow if we can do it today? If things can make it today, do it now.
The weather for tomorrow is not always 100% accurate. It is called forecasting, it means prediction and sometimes, it will not happen. We don’t know what will happen next. If you extend another day for a grocery, then the next day has bad weather, then, it will extend for another day, the next day, until the stocks are all gone. The day will come even if you’re sick, you have no choice but to buy groceries. If you do it that day, you will not be obliged to go outside and take a rest if you are unwell.
If you wanted a haircut, you think you can do the stuff tomorrow without knowing there would be an electricity blackout. Then the plan is extended until you have no time because your schedule is full the next day.
Today is for today. Do the things that can be done today, do not wait for tomorrow. The tasks for tomorrow be for tomorrow. Tomorrow never ends. Our life does.
I wonder if we have the same thoughts. It would be nice to hear your thoughts too.
