Today I want to share to you about an even yesterday at the pagoda, and other stuff as well. Also the governor of Veal Veng also came so it was kinda a big deal.
So I didn't have school yesterday but I still gotta go to school, because they wanted the students from my school to go to the pagoda for some events. I don't really know what the call the event but, they make it because a monk there is becoming like the head monk of the pagoda. Almost everyone from my class go, a few students from 9th grade, and maybe 15 students from 7th grade go.
I don't even know why I go but I guess I go because my sister got school like normal. So when I go to school it was already raining but when I got to school it rained even harder. So we got to wait at school for like an hour and half, then when it stopped raining a little we go there. The road to the pagoda is very pretty so pretty that if you are a beginner rider like me, it is better if you get off and walk and leave your motorbike behind.
When we reach a lot of people were already, and there also free food like curry, Kiev Teav, papaya salad, and more. Well a lot of kids were there for food, I was also the same when I was little. I don't really if the chef is hired by the pagoda or they wanted to give free food themselves. I never ask the chef since I was too scared to ask him and he looked really busy.
After waiting for a while the monk told everyone to get a seat, so I did. If I was with Sokra I would be sitting somewhere kinda hidden like the back or the back corner. While Khanna likes the attention and likes to make herself seen so I sit in the first row wit her. I asked her to sit in the back but she didn't want to so, that is how I ended up sitting in the front. Well my while waiting and listening to monks saying some blessing and stuff, I got 2.50 dollars which is 10000 riel from the monk or maybe one of the VIPs I don't know.
