"STOLEN STORIES" - MONOMAD - 09OCT22 || ENG-ESP || (10 Pics)

in #hive-1421592 years ago
Hello to all my friends of photography and Black and White... I'm still here wandering in this forgotten corner of the world, but full of images that can tell a story when you know how to "steal" them with a camera...
These are my today's stolen stories, these are my illustrated experiences and my daily catharsis happening without haste nor pause... This is, then, my entry to today's #monomad challenge...

"Only in Montalbán"... This is a photo which can only happen in this village!... I say this because I can see in a single shot: An old car "Ford Granada 1985" which is quite ragged by the way, also a horse, a dog and a cat!... ha ha ha... What an eclectic combination!... I "stumbled" upon this photo when I turned a corner during my morning walk. ;)

_JLP9154.jpg

"A little closer"... Seeing the scene in the previous photo, I decided to get closer and observe the curious group of animals and things... And then: A surprise!... Hidden by the old car, a little boy was waiting for his father to finish loading the horse to go to the field... Gosh, I love it when these things happen to me!

_JLP9157.jpg

"The Child in Portrait"... I couldn't stop taking this picture, that little boy protecting himself from the cold with his hood, he had a really charming expression...

_JLP9988.jpg

"Chicho"... This stray dog literally "appears out of nowhere" very often when I go out to take pictures... I named him "Chicho" for the simple reason that he looked like a "Chicho"... This photo was taken at 6:15AM when the fog completely covers the centre of the village, but the cold and the humidity don't seem to bother Chicho... He just seems to have slept there, in the middle of the lonely street... As soon as he saw me, he stood up and started to wag his tail... Then I know that he will accompany me during all my photographic walk.

"Chicho"...

_JLP9990.jpg

"Me in Chicho's eye"... As soon as I get close to Chicho, he raises up on his rear legs and asks me to caress him... I have learnt to love this little dog and sometimes it seems to me that he is like a "little guardian angel" who appears to accompany me while I am taking photos... Sometimes I give him some kibble and water when we return to my house after a walk... Chicho has become a good photography companion... I loved this photo because I see myself reflected in Chicho's eye... I didn't realise that until I edited it... What a fun fact!.... :)

¡Vaya hecho divertido!... :)

_JLP9991.jpg

"No, Chicho is not an angel, he's got a girlfriend!... Ha ha ha ha haaaa.... This is the funniest thing that happened to me this week :-) ... After arriving at the pasture to take some macro pictures, Chicho disappeared for a while and I assumed that he had returned to the village... But it wasn't like that... After a while he came back running in and playing happily with a very beautiful female stray dog!.... O God... I can't ask for more!... I love this!... Chicho then is not a Guardian Angel!... He has succumbed to the lust of the flesh!...

O Dios... ¡No puedo pedir más!... ¡Amo esto!... ¡Chicho entonces no es un ángel guadián!... ¡Ha sucumbido al deseo de la carne!... Ha ha haaaaa :)

_JLP0038.jpg

"Av. Carabobo, the sun doesn't appear"... I love this view of this avenue, with its old houses and the humidity... I love how the silhouettes of the people appear tiny in the fog that doesn't let the sun shine through... They look like spectres...

"Av. Parecen espectros...

_JLP8927.jpg

"Gatherings on the corner" ... A couple of streets from the door of my house, the morning silence is broken by some neighbours who seem to live only to be on that corner talking and talking non-stop ... These are things that happen in these sad villages where sometimes there is little or nothing to do!

_JLP8931.jpg

"Inexplicably in Black and White"... Hummm... This is something that happens to me from time to time: I look at an ordinary scene and WHAM... I feel that there is a completely monochromatic scene hidden there!... And I love to corroborate that when I edit it...

"Inexplicablemente en Blanco y Negro"... Hummm...

_JLP9123.jpg

"Raphael"... Ok, maybe this is not a "bucolic image of the village"... But Rafael is definitely already a town character and he has a "super power": "He doesn't age and he can walk for hours and hours, miles and miles"... Rafael loves to exercise by walking and this has kept him in excellent health and looking quite youthful despite his closely to seven decades of life!...

"Rafael"...

And these was my "Stolen Stories" for today.... Thank you all very much for stopping by and appreciating... See you very soon with more stories and pictures... Also with more of our beloved "Black and White"...

END / FIN

Both the stories and the photographs are very interesting, a town that has a lot to tell no matter where it is located.

Dear friend @wilfredocav thank you very much for stopping by and for your appreciation.... Yes, you are right... My father was born in Caracas and lived between the llanero states, plus Lara and oriental regions until he was 36 or 38 years old (more or less, because my mother "captured" him here in this town and they fell in love and got married) and he also travelled frequently to USA and Colombia in the 80's and 90's because of his work... But Dad used to say something: "Who lives in Montalbán knows how to live anywhere, because here every possible thing happens in every impossible space"... hehehehehe :)).... And despite the diaspora of recent years it is still something like that phrase.... It's a "tiny sampler of situations"... You just have to know how to look and investigate... Greetings and thanks again for the visit, Blessings!

Every photograph has a story. These images you share with us are just great my friend, you always capture special moments in the streets of your town, did you use your 55-300mm lens? 🙂

¿Usaste tu lente 55-300mm? 🙂

Hi friend @dimascastillo90 thanks for stopping by and appreciating!.... No, those photos were made with a Tokina 100mm Macro lens (Tokina ATX-PRO 100mm f/2.8 d MACRO) ha ha ha! :)).... Obviously, it's not the recommended lens for street photography, but with a bit of practice you get used to it... It's also a lens that "absorbs great light" and that's excellent for cloudy mornings with low light as it allows me to use low ISO's and avoid grain or excessive noise... The problem is that the 100mm focal length makes me reprogram myself a bit and almost everything has to be photographed between 25 and 50 meters away if I want to avoid clipping or even up to 100 or 150 meters if I agree to crop the image (it is an extremely sharp lens even with F/3.5 apertures which are not exactly its "sweet spot")... For a portrait with this lens (for example) I have to stand about 5 meters away, very different from the 1.5 or 2 meters I need with the 50mm... But nowadays I'm a bit of a macro maniac and that's why I carry it attached to my old Nikon almost all the time these last days!.... :) Greetings and blessings over there, happy week....

I saw your reflection in the dog's eyeballs, this is a beautiful shot mate.

@jlinaresp These captures are incredible! The one with the horse, boy and car is a story in itself. These photos edited in colour would not do the scene the same justice as the monochromes do. Great post, love your work!

Thank you very much for stopping by and appreciating, also for your eloquent and kind comment.... Yes, you're right, that's very pointedly the kind of photos that need to be turned to black and white to extract the essence of the story... What I like to call "The Soul of the photo"... ;-) Have a happy day, I send blessings!....

Congratulations. Today's #monomad first place is yours.
Thank You very much for participating and for being part of the Black And White Community!

Wow!... First place!... Thank you very much dear team!... This is a great start of the week thanks to you! ;-) I send BIG HUG!

Saludos y Fuerza!
