Foggy Monday Morning

For me, Mondays are the beginning of a week filled with promise. However, what Mother Nature gave this fine Monday was a fog-filled morning. I think this is the first time I haven't been able to see across the way clearly.

What makes this even more interesting is that what woke me up this morning was the sound of hunting rifles. Which is something I can't say happened with any regularity when I lived in the city. In Texas the fall is prime hunting season so it doesn't come as a surprise that living in the countryside would mean I also live closer to hunting grounds.

So, how close are these hunting grounds from where I live? No clue. Given how sound carries farther out here, it could be close or it could be some distance away. I'd still hear the sound reverberating through the hills, valleys, and dried waterways. One things for sure, living in the slower paced countryside is never boring.

Wow, incredible fog. For me these are my favorite days, except that now it's almost summer here and the sun kills me in the mornings. What a strange feeling to wake up to gunshots, will have to experience it to know exactly what it feels like. Greetings. Very nice picture😊

Wow, incredible fog. For me these are my favorite days...

I haven't seen fog this thick in a long time. It stayed for most of the day. It actually felt cozy. Almost like nature was wearing a blanket. It gave me a relaxed vibe and I rather enjoyed it.

What a strange feeling to wake up to gunshots...

Yep, the initial wake up is alarming, "What is that?!" then my next thought was, "Oh, it's just hunters" and then I thought, "Wait how far away are they? I should probably get out of bed and away from the windows." Which I did. I could have stayed in bed, because I didn't hear anymore shots after the ones that woke me up.

We've had fog for several days now. It was weird, we saw it come rolling in. We thought it was something else, but we were told it's fog rolling in from the bay. I couldn't believe how visibly fast we could see it roll in. One second you're in the clear, the next you're in the fog. We were driving at the time and kept going in and out of it.

Glad you were able to drive safely in the fog.
