Not so long ago maybe a month ago I visited the amazing Khao Sok National Park and Cheow Larn Lake which is in between Phuket and Krabi, I was told it resembles the Amazon jungle and they weren't wrong if you want to see a almost copy of the Amazon jungle then take a hiking adventure through the Khao Sok National Park and Cheow Larn Lake you will be left in awe with the fascinating wildlife, plants and trees species and mingle in amongst the lush green rain forest, I honestly got to say it was the best rain forest I have ever hiked so in Thailand.
We took one on the many walking trails that run through Khao Sok National Park the trail we decided to take through this rain forest was about a 10km dirt trail all marked out it was a trail with a gradual ascend, it took us just over 2 hours to get to the top of this trail at a steady pace and the reward after our efforts were breathtaking they had a coffee shop/restaurant with a few small bungalows spread over the mountain top we decided to stay the night up here so we would be fresh in the morning to hike back to our original camp site using a different trail to get back down.
The other reason we decided to stay at this amazing viewpoint was because of the breathtaking views from up here looking across the Andaman Sea we could see many of the Surat Thani Province islands over in Krabi and we were waiting for that sunset to shine across and light up the Andaman Sea and luckily it was a clear day not many clouds around, I could feel that we were going to get a spectacular sunset and that it was just a amazing sight.
