Hello people!
One more time here joining a new #POBphotocontest photography contest, and this is in my twelfth time. This is an initiative of @friendlymoose and this time the new round is about nature in the city. That is a cool topic, as we can observe and find many example every time we walk around our cities, right? I found one that I really like.
So here is my new contribution for the Proof of Brain photo contest:
NATURE IN THE CITY: L'Umbracle
One place to see nature in every city is in the parks, but some places are truly special, or at least somewhat more original, like the entire Arts and Sciences City complex in the Spanish city of Valencia. In addition to the planetarium, the science museum, the opera house and the aquarium, there is another area on one side that includes a park inside and is called L'Umbracle.
In L'Umbracle we can see a garden of palm trees and other vegetation inserted in the modern architectural design of a famous international architect born here, Santiago Calatrava. And among all the buildings perhaps this is the least recognized because it is only an open structure, but we are surprised to pass by it and cross it, enjoying the unexpected nature.
In addition, in summer it comes to life, part of this space becomes an open-air discotheque, but in an emblematic place with palm trees at the same time. During winter it is closed in the lower part, but it is just another one, it is beautiful outside with the lights that reflect in the white arches and the atmosphere becomes special surrounded by vegetation in such an urban place. A complex that many tourists visit all year round, and that has become a symbol of the city, within the old bed of the Turia river and very close to the sea. Everything is combined there, city, architecture and also nature.
