Videos, to me, are a source of destruction as well as distraction. I boldly said this just because of what I have seen happening to the lives of the youths of today. They have been watching unwanted movies, making them perform the same way they have watched in the movies.
To be sincere, movies contributed to the destruction of the youths' lives. They have been there watching some kinds of nonsense movies and movies that can bring about corruption to the young youths.
All adults and even children you see out there misbehaving would be as a result of excessive watching of unwanted and corrupt videos. I have seen one of my neighbor's sons who was so nice in terms of character and had this spirit of care for his siblings. The very first day, his dad brought home a television and a DVD player; something went wrong with this boy. I kept preaching to his parents to stop him from watching some kinds of movies, but they thought I was witch-hunting them for complaining. After a few months of living in the neighborhood, I decided to find another place just because of the hike in the price of the house. I was unable to afford the monthly rent, so I left that environment.
About a year later, I went to that same compound to check on someone, but what I saw didn't please me with the nature of this boy. He has changed drastically and so fast. His nature of caring has gone down the drain, and what he is now wearing is something not what it was. He did not care to greet me as usual; instead, he was just watching me as if we were mates.
After staying with the family for some minutes, this boy was busy saying some useless words that were not worth saying except in films.
In a nutshell, I just wish those unwanted films were wiped out just for our kids to remain holy inside, saying some useless words that were not worth saying.
In my house, I have detached my kids from watching those kinds of movies that would bring them or make them say useless words.
One night when I came back from the shop, there was light. My kids turned on the television and watched a movie. At the time, I thought it was a nice movie, but after critical checking, I found out that they were watching a war movie. It is a movie that looks like an armed robbery. I have watched that movie before, and I found it so disgusting that kids can learn bad habits from it. Even though it went in the favor of the crime fighters, the kids can devise means of beating the crime fighters to do what they were supposed to do.
In my opinion or thought, movies like the ones that can cause our kids to misbehave should be abolished. It should be erased, and even the already-made ones should be removed from the market. This would bring about a good society free from unwanted behavior.
