Today morning, while walking around the street , I have noticed many people carrying their mobile devices and were quite busy over it. While some were looking at the morning news and some were talking over the phone. Such scenarios alwsys reminds me of the earlier time, when people were much happier when they were not exposed to mobile and internet. They kostly read newspaper or watch evening news on tv. Neityer they were worried about the nation, world or any personal issues. In todays time, they have many means to get all the information and to stay updated. Thanks to technology advancement that bring all the corners of the world so closer. People can listen to all kind of news and keep themselves updated and informed. But the question always arises,

how much information / is useful for a normal human beings.??

News can be important for keeping people informed about current events, changes in society, and other topics. However, too much news can be harmful to our health. News can activate our sympathetic nervous system, which can cause our body to release stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline. This can lead to physical symptoms like fatigue, anxiety, depression, and trouble sleeping.

Positive news can have benefits for both mental and physical health. It can increase feelings of joy and hope, and can encourage self-improvement and change. Positive news can also increase dopamine, serotonin, and endorphins, which are hormones that make you feel happy and do the opposite of stress hormones. Some examples of positive news include uplifting content like viral videos and cat memes, as well as constructive journalism that focuses on solutions.

If we want to stay informed but also protect our health, we can try limiting our news consumption to a specific time each day, like before dinner or at lunch. We should also avoid watching or reading the news before bed.

The problem with news sources are that they consider themselves a business model and try to tell people what they wanted to listen. Innorder to get TRP, they do not disclose the reslity. And keep people and audiences diverted. On certain ocassion they diverts from the facts and create own news. Like during election times, all the news channel were only talking about the election results rather than focusing on other events in the country. They stop sharing other news. It becomes insane to keep listening to a monotonous news throughout the day.

The major issues happen when people over react to certain news without giving any consideration to the facts and results. They simply get on with the flow and create disturbances. In India it happens many a times that a common news took some violent turns to spoil the harmonious relation.

Listening to news is a great way to keep yourself updated and informed. The audiences needs to keep updated with all the economic and social development in the country. Just imagine missing out on any important news may create lot of problem. Like during times of demonetisation in India, a timely news update helps us to return all the currency back to bank. In case we remain unaware then it might be in a problem as the currency becomes pilferage. However at the same time, consuming too much news can cause chaos and many people have to live in a stressful state of worry, impending doom and helplessness.

For personal as well social peace and harmony, keep yourself informed upto the basic requirements, anything g excess may end up creating lot of problems.

Peace!!

You make some great points here. I'm often hesitant to complain about people being on their phones. Without creeping it's impossible to know what they are actually looking at. I wouldn't throw a fit if someone were reading a book or the newspaper. They might be doing that on their device. Getting good sources for your information is important for sure!

Always be aware of everything and be informed, many times it may not be real but it is important to know how to act!

Wow! This is great to learn. I didn't even know that too much news can be harmful. I reduced my listening to current affairs because in my country they give us a lot of lies in their news packages.

Interesting topic!
Studies show that people nowadays 'consume' gigabytes of information via television, internet, social media, podcasts, you name it...

I've once seen a comparison with the time before we had internet. I can't remember the numbers but I do remember they were shocking to me!

News can be important for keeping people informed about current events, changes in society, and other topics.

The question is... do you really need to get this news yourself? I sometimes have periods when I don't follow the news actively for a while and I don't miss out a lot. The most important news will reach you anyways via friends or coworkers.
It can be very relaxing not to absorb new information for a while. Just put your phone away for a couple of days. You should really give it a try. Maybe even just for a day.

The topic is pretty debatable. I think the problem is not just with the news itself but how and with what intentions it is presented.

We know media houses and personnel create complete lies utilizing the partial truths. Then, it goes on how the listener proceeds with the information and reacts.

Creating the line is subjective and the need may vary from situation to situation. However, I believe if the intention behind hiding a news is protecting someone's personal interest, it is wrong. If the purpose is the greater and long-term welfare of the people, then concealing the news is welcome

Exactly, we should also watch our consumption of news. Not all news that pops up should be read, also the government should keep the media in check about the type of information passed.

Media is regulated by the government. Do you belive in alien ? But still we like their movies....there is no smoke without fire...government control all the news
