Hello guys. However it all started we should be happy this year is coming to an end in few days and we are among those counting down to it.
At the beginning of this year 2024, nobody will ever believe that this year will be the toughest year ever experienced both in finances, businesses and dealing with people. And global recession that was predicted at the beginning of this year brought so much anxiety 😟 and even continue almost to the ending
It has been a tough year personally to me due to how where my family and I moved in this year’s January and was still settling but got “Notice To Quit “ after precisely 6 months. It was like a joke but a reality, all boiling down to how the owner is a seventy (70) year old lady who I feel is already going retard .
Her lawyer being a naïve person could not tell her the implications involved in serving a notice to quit when a tenant rent is still running, their excuse being that daughter staying else where wants to move into the place. Why then should you rent out if you know your daughter will be needing it.
So with how tough 2024 has been with business and cost 💲 tripling due to the gas subsidy in my country, we were facing this trouble of involving the services of a Lawyer who will have to defend my family if the case gets to court. First and foremost, he will write ✍️ to counter the notice which is not right in the first place.
So far it has been back and forth, my lawyer making the landlady’s lawyer to understand that we will be needing extra six months to the notice after our first rent we paid expires. And her lawyer knowing what is right but being naïve has signed acknowledgment letter my lawyer wrote in respect of that, also saying that the landlady is an adamant person. He has accepted to speak to her to understand the need of allowing us stay the extra six months before leaving because if the case goes to court, it might be in court for another one to two years.
In all issues like this are so distressing because it involves emotions and at the same time disorganizing. It has made loose some focus through the year while we are also spending money 💰 unnecessary because of how a 70 year old is not supposed to be handling property matters again.
However, am very optimistic that things will be resolved accordingly because I would not want to start 2025 in a stressful way as am anticipating a wonderful fulfilling year ahead. Also hoping for business opportunities come 2025, while doing the best for my virtual home, my Hive family because it has been so glorious with all the wonderful communities here on Hive.
