What The Job Demands In Question

I believe things has changed a lot in recent times including how others see us when we present our resume for some certain employment. This is so because I believe some employments may require what we do as individuals in the social media platform call the online.

This in other words mean that the era where employers employs a job seeker without detailed information does not work again, especially if the employment has to do with jobs that require ones presence online because the era has made our social life as almost important as our real everyday lifestyle.

The social media I see as a place where we as individuals show what we stand for, how to represent and present ourselves, connecting with the entire world 🌎. Therefore I believe and see some employments as ones that might need us to submit our social media for good image and reputation. So here I can say that submitting our social media to our employers might not be seen as “ invasion of privacy” but for the purpose to know the employee very well and in other hands protecting the image of the company. But this must be done pre hand and with consent.

Although the social media we all know are peoples’s privacy, where they can live any lifestyle they choose and would not want invasion, but some establishments and cooperate bodies may require to know who they are employing which might be among their policies. Or to know if the employee is suitable for the job. And I also believe that this request might help many keep a decent social media pages knowing its a part of job resume .

And apart from the intersection channel on social media, its has bern seen also as a platform where many kinds of transactions are carried out. It could be on the Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, etc, and dealings through this channel could either bring something positive or negative which in other way could affect an individual. So it all boils down to how we wants to represent and present ourselves online.

However, I believe how we handle our social media and lifestyle online can help boost our images because so many individuals, businesses and cooperate bodies have in one way or their lost their jobs, businesses and clients at large due to how they mishandled their social media seen as mismanagement. And like I said earlier, the way we present ourselves on social media matters a lot because it could bring us luck or ruin especially when it comes to dealings that matters a lot to us. And hence we should all be careful , staying diligent, cautious with clear definition to avoid things that will affect our dreams in life, especially jobs that can help elevate us in the future.

In conclusion, my opinion is that employers has no right of invasion to employees privacy of personal life and therefore, I do not support submission of social media handling, but and unless the job is one that requires this policy which the employee is aware of and willing to do so without force. And personally, if am opportune to be employed in a job I so much desired and cherish, I will not hesitate to submit my social media handle since I know I have established a clean image in my dealings on line.
