Hello Friends of the Wednesday Walk community today I wanted to share with you my most recent Wednesday walk, this week I decided to visit a very nice area of the city of Buenos Aires, my boyfriend and I went to Tigre. Tigre is a city that is part of the Metropolitan Area of the city of Buenos Aires and is well known for being the gateway to the great Delta of the Parana River. We decided to make this visit because we had already heard on several occasions that it is a very nice place with many historical and tourist sites to visit and the truth is that we were not disappointed.

Our visit begins when we arrive to this beautiful city where we first decided to take a walk through the Tigre Station which has a truly eye-catching and beautiful architecture, then we decided to walk to what is known as Puerto de Frutos . It is known as Puerto de Frutos (Fruit Port) to the pier that is located on the shores of the Lujan River and next to which is the Fruit Market, formerly this was the main port where the fruit production of the Parana Delta was shipped to the city of Buenos Aires, now the port is no longer used for marketing with Buenos Aires but to supply goods to the islands of the Delta, this is the point from where the distribution of a lot of products to the islands is given while the fruit market is still in operation.

The Puerto de Frutos is a very colorful and beautiful place, it is located on the banks of the river so the views from there are very nice, you can also see many of the boats that sail the river, there are many stores where you can get absolutely everything, household items, food, crafts and others, here we decided to make a couple of purchases because the truth is that we found it difficult not to buy with so much variety in the different shops.

After a long time touring the port, we decided to make a stop to rest and then continue our tour.

After resting we continued with our tour and stopped to eat something in one of the many food stalls that you find in the place and we ordered waffles with cheese! To be honest I had never eaten waffles in that shape before, let alone with cheese but I must say that I loved them and I would definitely eat them again.

After lunch we continued walking until we reached the Art Museum of Tigre and the truth is that we found this place impressive, it is truly a beautiful place. The museum was built in 1910 and was created mainly as a club for the inhabitants of the area to have a place to practice sports and as a place of recreation, the place worked as a club for a while but then was abandoned so later the municipality takes over the building which is declared a Historical Monument and began to work on its recovery and it is not until 2004 that opens its doors as Museo de Arte de Tigre.

Unfortunately we could not visit its interior because it does not open its doors to tourists during the week but still this is a beautiful place ideal for a picnic or just to walk around, with the river in front of it the view is even more beautiful and the truth is that this place seemed magical, so I decided to take many pictures.

It was nearing the end of our tour and we finally decided to stop to take a couple more pictures in the streets of this beautiful city.

I hope you liked my Wednesday walk as much as I did, one day is not enough to tour this beautiful city so I hope to come back soon to continue getting to know it and enjoying it the way I did this time. Thank you!!!

Gracias!!
