I find many different kinds of mushrooms but this was the strangest it was sitting on the log. At first, I did not think it was a mushroom, I thought something had gotten sick on the log. I posted it on a mushroom identification site and was told it is called Ear of the Woods and it is edible. There was no way I was going to eat it.
See the brown dust that is sitting on the log it came from inside these mushrooms, when I touched them they emitted a dust that covered everything near them.
This was just a cute frog that found the bark of a log to sit in.
Not everything sits on a log, sometimes they want to sit on a brick.
These are conk eggs that attached themselves to a small log and it washed up on the shoreline of an island. I took them home and put them in a bucket of saltwater with an air bubbler, when they hatched they were already in their shells.

I am not sure what kind of mushroom this was but it looked like it might be an edible kind, I do not eat any of them that I find because I do not have that kind of knowledge, it is also sitting on the log.
I have a lot of these black mushrooms. I tried to Google lens them but there are too many black mushrooms for me to know which ones they are.
They are all sitting on one log, they feel hard to the touch.
Yesterday while I was pulling weeds I saw this little plant I thought it was sitting on the log but it is growing out of it. I think it is a Chinese ground orchid. Until 2007 we did not have them in Florida. What I have read about them is they can take over your garden and crowd out other plants, they are on the invasive plant list, we did not have them in our yard until 2 or 3 years ago, but now I see them in several areas of my yard.
