This is my post for #freewriters 2519 prompt an afternoon of judgment hosted by @mariannewest
He is there, but you have to zoom in to see him. I was breaking some branches from my red and purple spike plants so they would not rub against the siding on our trailer. I threw some of them on the ground.
When I walked over to pick them up, I saw this black snake lying on top of them and he was not moving. I stood there taking pictures of him and he just watched. I got closer to him, between 2 and 3 feet away, I kneeled down and talked to him and he just laid there. I did not try to get any closer because I realized he was lying on the only dry ground and he did not want to get on the wet grass. It has been raining here for 2 days.
I am worried about my pineapples, I have 5 fruit. I put the ones with fruit in the middle and tied a rope around them, then I put all the other big pineapple plants up against them in a circle.
The storm was to be over us at 3am Thursday morning, but now they say it will not make landfall until 3am. Depending on how fast it will be moving, we might get a daytime storm. I am sure there will be many Prayers being said as it hits and many think it will be an afternoon of judgment.
I plan on staying in our trailer because I do not have a place to go with 2 dogs, a rabbit, and a daughter who has outbursts. I am not worried about staying in it if the storm is a Cat1 but do not want to be in it with anything higher.
My grandson came to help me get the plants moved around. But my sister called and said she wanted him to help her son put shutters up at our mom's place. She said it would be after her son got off work. I thought it would be later in the day, but an hour later 11am her son came and got him, it is almost 7 and he is still not back. I am upset because I had things for him to do for me. I hope he likes working in the rain because tomorrow my plants will be moved or it will be an afternoon of judgment for all.
