This is my post for #freewriters 2510 prompt flat but not deflated hosted by @mariannewest
The area where our compost pot is located is no longer in the sun. The Banana trees have grown tall enough that they are keeping them in the shade. So, I have been spending the last two days, in between rain storms, to move it into full sun.
I saw a post on another site about setting up your compost, it took me two hours of going back in time to find it, so I saved it to my page. This way I could look at it while setting up the pots.
The post said to start by putting cardboard in the bottom and then putting sticks or logs next. I was thinking. LOGS, that sounds a little much, and I am glad now that I did not have any logs.
Next, I was to put kitchen stuff or green plants, this is where I stopped and went in the house to get my glasses. I read it right, now it wanted me to put compost on it and then cover the last 30% with organic soil. Isn't compost what I am supposed to be making?

Let me tell you something, glasses are important when you are trying to look up how to set something up, I thought the bins in the picture were composting bins, they are raised beds and this is how you fill them cheaply. I feel flat but not deflated because this is the time of year we start our gardens and I can put some soil on top of the one I filled and have one pot ready to plant without using a bunch of soil.
