Enjoying a day at the beach in Cala Tarida in the west of Ibiza

Coves, coves and more coves. If there is something that characterizes Ibiza is the large number of coves in its perimeter. Some are accessible simply by taking a bus and walking a few meters. Others require a car or a motorcycle to access them, and others even require only the use of a boat.

Cala Tarida is a dream! It is a cove that has totally white sand and has the particularity of having an extremely narrow sand space. This forces, in a way, to be practically in front of the sea.

The most beautiful thing about this cove is that it has completely crystal clear water, and this makes swimming there a total dream.

When we were with my friend Viru contemplating the water, we just thought it looked like the Caribbean, although the beautiful energy of the Caribbean is not the same as the Spanish coast, which does feel a little colder.

The most beautiful thing about Cala Tarida if you go by bus, which is what we did (we took the L3 from Eivissa to San Antonio and then the L5 from San Antonio to Cala Tarida), is that once you get off the bus, you walk a few meters and see in the distance the extremely clear blue water along with some stairs that are in front of you.

There are quite a few stairs and the descent is steep, but as you go down, you begin to encounter an increasingly beautiful landscape, framed by bright green flowers and plants.

As soon as you arrive, the white sand is waiting for you to find your place.

As the beach is small and has already been discovered by quite a few people, hehe, you will most likely have to be very close to other people in the summer. Therefore, for the rather lonely souls like me, I recommend you to be patient, because it is WORTH it.

The sea not only has crystal clear water, but also rocks that are scattered in different parts of the water.

When the tide is low, it is even possible to walk or swim to them and jump from there.

The beach itself is short, let's say that you can walk from end to end quietly, but there is a space that invites you to make a trekking that in the end for social reasons, I did not do, hehe.

In this kind of places it is essential to take something to eat and drink as well as an umbrella, because although there are bars nearby, they are really expensive and unless you go with the idea of spending that money there, it does not make sense to leave your money there, because in the end the most beautiful thing about these outings is to contemplate the sea and enjoy the contact with nature. But of course, there are tastes for everything!

I leave a photo with one of my emigration friends, Viru, as she was the one who had the brilliant idea to visit this cove. Viru has been in Ibiza for 2 years and knows a lot about the island, so she has excellent recommendations.

Thank you!!
