ENG:
In the last post, we took a walk around the old town of Sousse called the medina. But it is not the only great monument in this city, basically the next point of our visit is an integral part of the medina. In this post we will visit Ribat and see the beautiful panorama of the city of Sousse from its tower.
PL:

ENG:
Ribat - Means a rib, but in this case it is a defensive fortress whose task is to defend the City against pirates and other enemies. It was an integral part of the medina's defensive walls. This particular one in Sousse belonged to one of several thousand Ribats built along the coast of Tunisia, and the closest to it is in Monastir, which we will also see in the next posts. We had no choice but to go inside - Welcome :)
PL:

ENG:
In this particular case, while walking around Ribat, we will encounter a lot of rooms, corridors, but most of them will be simply empty, where here and there we will encounter some remains of the Romans or elements of modest Tunisian ornaments, which were once part of the fortress
PL:

ENG:
It's time to climb the walls of this building and see what it has to offer from this perspective.
PL:

ENG:
Okay, time for the main course of our trip around Rabat, which is the only and highest tower of this building. And here you have to be prepared that in the season it is difficult to get to it, because a narrow angled staircase leads to the top, but when you manage to get to the top, you will see beautiful views
PL:

ENG:
In the last photo you can see a view of almost the entire medina, and it may seem like another fortress, we will also enter it in the next posts, and this time I invite you again to the next blogs from Tunisia :)
PL:
