Greetings dear mothers and fathers, these last few months have been a lot of work for me and some stressful situations at an economic level, so without realizing it the month of August practically flew by, suddenly next Saturday is the birthday of Rafael and I I have planned absolutely nothing, compared to the previous year in which I planned every last detail including making a costume for the birthday theme, this year I feel ashamed, as if that were not enough yesterday I read a post by @brittandjosie about the start of his children's school and I almost had a heart attack when I realized that I hadn't bought anything for the start of Rafael's school year in September 😱😱😱 so I panicked a bit because this is the last week of August .
So today, desperate, I went to buy at least part of all the things that Rafael needs for the start of the school year, and something that is also alarming is that my purchases coincided with the most recent disproportionate rise in the value of the dollar in my country. , so the things that I expected to get at a price had risen a lot, however after a lot of walking I was able to find cheaper prices, I made these purchases at the same time that I bought the weekly food and cleaning supplies for the house, in addition to expenses for the birthday so I couldn't buy everything at once.
Almost everywhere I went school notebooks were around $2, until I got a site where they were priced at $1.2, so I bought four notebooks for now.
I found the box of pencils at $3.12, the permanent marker at $1, the fourth ream of white sheets at $1.64, the 100ml liquid silicone at $1.34, the Construction Block at $1.27, I also bought a pen that is So cheap I didn't even write it down. But I still have a box of colored pencils, a piece of tape and other little things on the list.
The school uniform is another important issue, I still have to buy some white chemises and do sewing repairs to two blue gabardine pants (this is what happens when your son is tall and thin), but at least in this purchase I managed to get a I had offers from the best-known department stores, so I brought school socks for just $1.2 for both pairs, I hope they are still in the store when I return for more 😅, I also bought some cheap shoes for just $10, since Rafael has a rhythm accelerated foot growth I am not worried about the marks on the shoes, I bought these big ones, I hope they last longer, but it is usual for them to stop fitting after a few months.
I still have things pending but at least my panic calmed down, Rafael for his part is happy with the purchases, he is a child who is happy for the smallest thing 🥰 for all those mothers who like me are going through the same concern From the beginning of classes I send you a big hug.
