Introduction

I know you guys are out there in hive looking for creative ideas and ways to become more productive in life because that's going to bring you efficiency and that's how you're going to survive and become the productive person that you want to be.

I get that but i'm looking at this from a different lens because people are out there telling you that you need to wake up at 4 00 a.m and you need to grind out 16 hour work days to be able to become the most productive person and all that is fine. I get it, but it really doesn't mean
that you're being productive. You're just working hard.

There is a difference between hard work and productive work. Mindset however the way you perceive the world actually allows you to be able to work efficiently. What i'm saying is that your mind attaches baggage to you every day whether it's your family, whether it's anxiety about something that's coming up in your life. What i want to do here is really highlight the fact that mindset is the key to productivity.

Working Hard on the Wrong Things

So, here's a case study about an individual named Ali. He likes to work hard and he likes to be productive and sometimes when he's tired he'll end up working hard but on the wrong things. When he's got a deadline for a big project coming on and he's been working two weeks straight on it. Sometimes he gets distracted by spending way too much time cleaning the kitchen. You can clean the kitchen in 15 minutes but, a tired ali that's stressed out will spend 45 minutes to three hours cleaning a kitchen.

That is not a good use of time, it's actually spawned by the fact that i'm stressed out and tired and I actually do not have the ability to do the work i'm supposed to do. So, i pacify my mind by doing some kind of meaningless task and doing it obsessively. Thinking that i'm actually getting work done.

This is not a good use of time. Your mindset is the most important thing to you when you first wake up in the morning. So, you need to be able to protect your mindset every day.

Meaning that if you have toxic co-workers, if you work in a toxic environment if you're getting cut off on the highway going to work if the bagel shop doesn't have your everything bagel.

You got to kind of look at this in a way that mindset and your level of stress and anxiety can be affected by anything during the day. you have to protect it and be vigilant about it. If you don't do that anything that comes across your path can trigger you and get you into the wrong mindset.

So, by protecting the mindset and keeping yourself balanced through the day and not getting angry at the things you don't need to get angry about. You literally can become more productive.

So here are a couple of tips that you can start using immediately to help set your mindset and get yourself productive during the day.

Number one separate work versus life

when you set out to work you are focused on the fact that you're trying to get everything done in the most efficient manner so, you can win back your life.

You need to separate work and your life. If you're headed to the office and somebody cuts you off that is life trying to get in the way of your work. so separate it. You are focused on your task.

Number two having a happy and joyful mindset is like paying taxes

We all have to pay taxes to live but it's very necessary in order to be able to make the world go around. It's the same thing with being happy and joyful when you go to work.

when you take this attitude to work you bring productivity and efficiency to your day but also the people around you. it's hard but that mindset allows you to be able to work better and more efficient and guess what by paying into this your tax return at the end of the year is a more balanced life is productivity and is a less toxic work environment.

The last tip is to create an environment that actually brings you a good mindset

Meaning that whatever input you're giving your mind is going to affect how you think and how your perspective is daily. So, if you watch a lot of things that get you anxious on tv if you're scrolling through social media these things are hijacking your mind and telling you how you should perceive reality.

So, my point here is don't be blind to the bad things that are going on but be prescriptive by feeding yourself happy thoughts when the time is right. So, before you go to bed at night maybe you should think about reading a book that's going to bring you motivation.

When you wake up in the morning you should put on podcasts and maybe things that give you more positive inputs or anything that's going to get you motivated and ready to go in the morning.

and that's how you dose yourself with the right input for your brain so you perceive life through a better lens so a big part of being able to protect your mindset.

Many times, I have been able to see the difference between working hard and being productive. I love to have a productive day at the end and this is due to how I have shaped my mindset before the start of the day.

Sometimes, I find myself choked up in the environment where it feels like tying you down and unless you snatch yourself from it, you will be tied down with nothing reasonable.

These moments, I try to be conscious of my environment and work to be productive at the end.

Our mindset totally affects the way our day goes and how productive we become..... This i agree.

But this one. We have told 100 times over to separate work life from our lives but I am still wondering if it has work for anyone

i understand to separate work life from our work life is to generic to say.
as you mention before,it's about our mindset to see different perspective.

I remember being in a toxic society and I don't kno how to deal with it. just cried while I'm taking the call, after that i just told myself that ot's okay. I don't need to be stressed in this society where I am surrounded by a toxic environment

Truly, the state of our mindset play a huge role in our decision making process, which in turn affect the bad choices we make. In order to free ourselves from this, the 3 points your mentioned are important and one can achieve progress and success following them.

I didn't understand this part, the section doesn't make it clear either... Can you explain with different words? Why "taxes" is the metaphor?

To put in context, it will be similiar like "sincere". without us knowing it, when working sincerely . that sincere feeling which is taxes give a positive feeling both for us and those around us. With the hope of creating a conducive working environment.
