It is not uncommon to come across people who are in the habit of treating others badly. I've seen that a couple of times and I've witnessed situations where people treat others like gums stuck to their shoes.
I'm always of the opinion that it's not good to treat people badly and I never approach this religiously. It's crystal clear as a social norm and I genuinely believe everyone deserves to be treated nicely... Including those who are heading down an incorrigible path.
Do you treat people nicely?
That's worth thinking about. Another thing that is worth thinking about is the way you treat yourself. So;

As far as I can tell, the life so many of us live is unavoidably punctuated by suffering, tragedy, disappointment and a whole lot of catastrophic occurrences. Life kicks seven shades of sh*t out of so many people every week and it's not uncommon to see people who have stories of sad experiences to share.
Amid all this mayhem, one of the things that can help you pull through is to perfect the act of treating yourself nicely.
Give yourself a break and go on vacation once in a while.
Spend time doing things that will brighten your future.
Encourage yourself and laud your effort even when the result is not fair.
Do the things you love and the things that make you happy.
Eat and exercise properly.
I know things can get crazy and when life is happening, it can be so easy to drop the idea of 'treating yourself nicely' to number 11 on a list of 10 priorities. To be fair, it may sound strange to sell this idea to people, but that's one of the few things that can give life meaning.
Some people do not have a problem taking care of others (family & friends), but they don't do the same to themselves. How about you try taking care of yourself the same way you take care of someone else?
You should do that. You've got to take good care of yourself. Be there for yourself and shower yourself with lots of love and encouragement.
