Mistakes are what make us improve sometimes. Living life to the fullest while having errors leads us to think of ways to avoid similar scenarios in the future. However, is it okay and necessary to consciously commit one?
Several individuals often strive for flawless work, love, and life as a whole. While thinking of perfection helps you become more conscious of what you do so you can produce a fruitful and impressive outcome, you feel pressured as a consequence. Stress level increases as we tend to arrive at a more flawless output. Hence, you may consider to loose the belt of perfectionism sometimes.
Eleanor Roosevelt once said:
Hearing this quote, one of the things that come to mind is our experience as a child. When we are learning how to walk, we often get stumbled and might even get bruised as we fall down, especially when the ground is rough. Another one is when we are learning the alphabet. As we recite it, we sometimes forget what will come next. Both of them reflect the same thought: "committing mistake" is part of learning something.
With those things mentioned above, we can perceive that we sometimes make mistakes and get better in life. Our skills are being honed, which makes us improve and grow as people. Also, when life hands us setbacks and defeats, we must get back up, try again, and brainstorm ways in which to avoid the same mistakes we have done in the past.
But anyway, just because consciously making a mistake a day is not totally bad does not mean it can be anything. Of course, it has to be refined in a positive direction rather than the other way around. By doing it, we feel more comfortable, and we tend to avoid that tight and choking experience of trying to be flawless in everything.
So instead of worrying about the mistake you committed, commend yourself for doing your best in living life to the fullest. Making mistakes is part of the learning process, as is growing. Focus your energy on more fruitful things than overthinking about stuff you've done wrong because, at the end of the day, you can only expect to achieve something if you take risks or learn from any mistakes.
After all, the shortfalls and errors we make don't embody failure; they just mean we are humans.
