From Commitment to Consistency

"It's not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently."
— Tony Robbins

Luck favors us often, not everyone, nor every time. These exceptional cases are not what we should be following as our primary goals. Instead, we should be focused on what we want to acquire, meaningful ones, not the ones that seem funny and out of logic. Like, we want to be happy, I want a life where I won't have to do anything but enjoy at its fullest, this is a meaningless want. The desire should be such an enjoyable life but for that, we need to work hard, really hard that really pays off.

They say, “Hard work beats talent, and I said, “Hell Yeah.” I am the prime example of the side that got beaten.” Since my childhood, I have always heard praise from my teachers, but in the end, I would end up being lazy and the others would oftentimes outnumber me by their hard work even though I had the possibility to go ahead of them. That's old news, let's move ahead to the new ones.

There are always some people who come forward to help you and do the hard work together so that you both get the joy of benefiting. I just get amazed at seeing these people who feel content with others' happiness, it's rare in this world where everyone is just busy with their own life and problems.

So the thing is, I, being a lazy panda always fail at doing things even after making great plans. The greatest problem is the missing consistency and dedicated hard work. Over and over again, I am making the same mistake. This time, a corporate guy told me to collaborate with the freelance staff that he is doing for some extra gains. I am like, “Why not? It's my pleasure to collaborate with you.” He set the boundary to dedicate 5+ hours daily with a target to fill 500 hours from me and 500 from him. I was like, “WTH!! How am I gonna pick this flow?” But I knew, I must. He has a full-time corporate job, if he can manage time after that so why can't I? Though I have some other tasks to invest time in but five hours is very possible and I must.

The first day, I crossed the 4-hour mark, and the second day went the same as well, it's today when I actually did cross the 5-hour mark. It's hard but I am enjoying it, I gotta make this a habit as someone else is also keeping an eye on me as well so I can't lose this opportunity of getting immense guidance that is rare to get even with money. None got spare time for you to assist on a daily basis for such a long time.

So the thing is that I must maintain this flow anyhow. I have moved this to the top of the priority list, it gets checked first then the rest of the things. That’s how I have planned my daily routine now, I just pray and hope that something good is waiting for me.

Sort:

We all want a life where we won’t have to do anything but enjoy it to the fullest big do you thing that is possible
No matter how much we want to enjoy life, there are days when things may not go well and we won’t be smiling

Nothing lasts forever, even if we think that I have accumulated enough for the rest of the life, it won't be enough for me. So we gotta be up to something always, there is an age for retirement, need to make the best use of that before that stage.
