Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today I wanted to talk about how we should keep an eye on things like the price of Hive, but don't let it upset you too much!
Prices Got You Down? Don't Fret!
I've seemingly always had the mantra, to not let the prices get you down.
There is a lot of emotional attachment and other things of that nature when it comes to market conditions. I wonder if we are being psychologically manipulated to always think that prices and things should be green, when in reality it's almost never the case consistently?
There has recently been quite a bit of downward pressure on the price of Hive and I can certainly tell that some people are quite upset about it, lamenting that things are doom and gloom. I get the sentiment to an extent, but at the same time I find it a fantastic opportunity!
These are the times that people end up leaving the platform for a while, crying and complaining about how things suck and it's going to crash, go nowhere and a waste of time. There are lots of arguments of the sort but at the same time, those same people and many others are the exact ones that come back when prices hit the moon and start to bitch and moan that they weren't around to take advantage of low prices and scoop up a bunch of cheap Hive to invest into it, and take advantage of that later on when the market flips around into the green and positive territory.
I have absolutely no sympathy for people like that! Fuck 'em! LOL
I think these depressed market prices right now are a fantastic opportunity to be scooping up some wonderfully cheap and delicious Hive if you've got the ability! I'm actually upset that I swapped my HBD the other day for Hive and didn't wait a little while to get more!! What the hell man!
As I'm writing this post, I've actually just scheduled a full withdrawal of my HBD in savings so that, if the price stays this low or goes lower, I'll be spending all of that juicy HBD to get some wonderful Hive for these rock bottom prices! I am fully about taking opportunities like this to take advantage of the market fluctuations, both up and down, to jump at things in order to optimally increase my Hive Power stake or my HBD savings amount.
I'm of the mindset where I see opportunities to make movements where I can, but not always jumping at the first sign of something. I've been pumping HBD into my savings accounts for several months, recently getting it up to 50 HBD and letting it sit there, growing monthly but not putting too much into it. Letting me focus on Hive instead, and increasing my Hive Power. With these really awesome, lower prices though, that's changed my whole strategy and it's good to be flexible!
The last time Hive was this low or lower, I spent all of my HBD on buying more Hive whenever I could and that was great! I ended up getting about 1,500 Hive in total and that was such a worthy investment for my account as it really kicked me up a notch. I don't think I'll be getting nearly that much Hive this time around but at the same time, this is exactly what I've been saving my HBD for, so that I could keep an eye on the markets and attack when there was blood in the water!
Is it crazy to think that I hope this price point continues for another few days? Let me get my HBD out of savings before taking action is all I'm asking for :D if it slips further down that would suck to see visually, but at the same time it's more Hive for me to buy and stake baby!
What about you, are you taking these opportunities to snatch up and buy as much Hive as you can to increase your stake? If not let me know why not!
