Connecting crypto to land-backed development projects
Living on the cutting edge of technological progress can be thrilling, and the benefits from such can be life-changing. But in order to actually change systems, we must develop and favor projects that connect this new technology back into real world actions and developments. This is where the ECOBANK development project is born, with a tangible desire to show and put into place how these new technologies can be used to benefit actual people and support local and sustainable development projects around the world.
And a very real desire to see a 'Land-Backed' crypto project. The term 'strategic real-estate' is also relevant, for it is with that in mind that I began converting my very own gains into land in 2020.
The ECO DEVELOPMENT BANK SAS was founded in Colombia in 2022, through which we have officially registered this project in all its legality. Approximately 7 hectares of 'strategic real-estate' has been placed into the company to start its first project, the sale of ECOBANK tokens to fund hotel and event infrastructure to be built. Participation in the design discussion has begun.
ECOBANK Token Sale
The land serves as a backing to our ECOBANK token sale, which is on going in the stable coins HBD and BUSD (as well as SWAP.HBD and SWAP.BUSD). The money raised will be used for Hotel and Event infrastructure, turning ECOBANK into an exclusive membership club as well as an investment in regional development in emerging markets.

A note about Sustainble Development
Apart from being a buzzword, sustainble has real meaning to me, and it is the harmony between ecological, social and economic prosperity of any project. Too many people find themselves divided on the economic issue but let me make is simple - projects must be profitable to find economic harmony. This makes them, out of necessity, 'value adding enterprises'. From this perspective, it is much easier to add in ecological and social benefit functions.
ECOBANK TOKEN BENEFITS
Originally announced in December, the token model is that of a common share in a for-profit company, making it a security. We are in the process of registering with the SEC, so unaccredited US persons will soon be allowed to participate.
The profits of operating the resort hotel will be, after 20% global withholding to the reinvestment fund, distributed by the will of the token holders through a stake based voting mechanism. Distribution of dividends will be made through the token wallets.
In addition, the token adds features of 'Membership club', and will allow discounts and commissions based on a investor tier system, originally announced in this post. This discount/commission rate will align incentives of the project and its investors to 'send us more people'.
We can think of any number of promotional benefits to sweeten the deal of being a member of a hotel, and we will surely try many of these ideas out. Currently, investors could find some benefits from within the Colombian legal structure.
Incubator Airdrops
The Resort/Hotel is just the first project we have planned for the ECOBANK - it is a precondition of having investors come and visit, hosting meet ups and conferences, and continuing to develop our local region.
But beyond this, each time ECOBANK expands to other projects, we will use stock-split airdrop mechanisms to make sure that ECOBANK members continue to benefit from all the development projects we do in the future.
Token PRESALE
The PRESALE is going on now for ECOBANK tokens. When it is complete, which it is not yet, we will distribute the tokens to the wallets and let the market decide the price. At that point, anyone with a HIVE wallet will be able to participate with SWAP.HIVE on the dex.
If there are any left over, or if we decide to do another sale to expand the project, we will never list the tokens at this price again, any future listing will be higher.

NOW ACCEPTING BUSD directly!
We have had some requests, and I estimate them to be of significant size, to receive BUSD directly on BSC - Binance Smart Chain. I have determined this to be easy enough to integrate in the sale, as we can sell the BUSD directly for Colombian Pesos on Binance exchange.
So I have set up the address listed above, a new wallet with the keys safely guarded. The appropriate memo to send with would be your HIVE account, but if investors don't have a HIVE account, they can leave the memo blank (or include ECOBANK presale), and they will be registered with their sending address. This will leave us in the future looking to either integrate these users into HIVE with a HIVE keychain wallet, or figuring out how to distribute the dividends and membership benefits to BSC address. So far we have no plans to issue the ECOBANK token directly on BSC, this is just a funding mechanism.

Our originally planned distribution structure was as follows:
In the mean time, we have decided to reduce the amount of land going into the project by almost 3 hectares, we should have a finalized map soon, but this means there may be around 30,000 additional tokens to find their way into unanticipated costs or later sales. I will provide a specific update about this information, including the land, realized costs and pending costs for getting this project off the ground. We will not be issuing more tokens, but we reserve the right to schedule these non-presale tokens to costs related to the development project or to sell them at the Presale Price while the Presale is still open.
No presale monies have been spent or will be spent on anything other than building the buildings.
I will provide an update to the presale results in the following post - we continue to get purchases from great users and everything is recorded on chain. Our stables are safe and earning interest in the meantime.

With this post published my next steps are to finalize a static information page for the project and then update the Presale totals. Thank you all for your patience, we are making great progress with our team but in the end, I am still the only one making the posts.
