Crypto & A Clean Heart

in #hive-16792211 days ago

I was listening to our pastor's sermon today, and he talked about having a new heart, one that is free of feelings and emotions and devoted to God. As a Christian this is where people tend to struggle a lot; feelings.

A person may be experiencing spiritual growth in their life, but it will be difficult for them to let go of old emotions that keep them sad, angry, or feeling offended or betrayed.

In life, people will be hurt by others, either intentionally or unintentionally, and we will sometimes nurse these feelings even after convincing ourselves that they are no longer there.

It is easy to harbor malice and offense, which causes us to act in accordance with our emotions rather than acting clearly. This is why people can forgive but never forget. However, the burden of not forgetting is where the real problem lies.

We cannot forget, so we will always harbor discontent, which is difficult to overcome even when we find God.

It was the third time I had heard a sermon like that in three days, and I had an inner conviction that it was intended for me.

I have been on my journey to know God, and I am proud of how far I have come, but I will not lie: I have been harboring a lot of resentment, bitterness, disappointment, and pain in my heart, and it is been difficult to be free of all of these feelings no matter how much I have prayed, but hearing all of these sermons made me realize that I needed to try harder and trust God to make a difference in my life.

Although I cannot do it, I can only pray for grace and make more effort, because I believe that without discipline and effort, God may not see our efforts, and most of the time, efforts and discipline are required to follow the ways of the scriptures and God.

Crypto

So, how does this relate to crypto? Feelings.

We all know that crypto is an emotional game. Sometimes the greed, fear, and anxiety that accompany it prevent us from making decisions free of previous experiences or emotions.

For example, almost everyone is working hard not to repeat the mistakes they made in 2021, which included not taking enough profit or sleeping on too much profit when they should have exited, and they will be heading into 2025 with these concerns in the back of their minds.

Being unable to forget 2021 is one of the reasons why people make mistakes they did not intend to make. The obvious mistake that year was not taking enough profit, but no one can predict the type of mistake that will be unique to 2025.

I am not saying that people are expected to make perfect decisions, but the market will still do its thing, and many will lose because they try to do too much.

This is one of the most delicate times in crypto, and people will make decisions from a variety of perspectives. This is a delicate time because people are getting a sense of what will happen in 2025, and some coins or projects are still flat, while others are pumping hard.

Overall, today is a good day for cryptocurrency in general, and believe me, even those who promise not to be greedy when necessary will find themselves breaking those promises.

Sentiments make it difficult to actually make logical decisions; when we fail to be devoid of emotions, we cannot have the clarity to be ruthless.

Crypto Twitter is buzzing because BTC has finally reached 80K. To be honest, I did not expect it to happen so quickly. Nevertheless, here we are. Alts are starting to respond, though only slightly.

However, being overly bullish when many were bearish only a few days ago demonstrates how quickly people's emotions can swing from one extreme to another.

Sentiment is high, and BTC continues to rise, and most people would not approach their strategy with a clear mind, so it would be interesting to see how people react to these pumps and how they will affect alts along the way.

Seriously i have been feeling so bad about myself since morning, someone just picked up a phone and decided to ruin my entire day, Imagine me frowning in church through out service today as if I had a quarrel with God or something....it's hard trying to survive while people do not understand certain things, and just hurt you, I'm hurt real bad, but what can I do, I'll heal with time, forgive them and move on Somehow your post helped to relieve me of that poor devastating feeling I've had since morning. ...

Well, people will always offend us. I have a lot of people that I feel offended by their actions, but for three days now I've heard the same peculiar message, about forgiving and letting go, because of the race for heaven. It's harder, this is the reality, but it's a mandate that God in his scriptures have given.

My only regret was not buy btc when it was sold for cents. With the rate at which it is raising i dont think it will ever fall down for people to take advantage of the dip

That was in 2011 when BTC was in cents, I doubt many people in Nigeria even knew what was crypto as far back, so.

Haha well you might be right even me i dont, i havent even entered the uni back then so i doubt if i can afford it

I love the current bullish movements of the market and hope it continues. If more positive fundamental news come in we may reach more ATHs before year out otherwise we go down. I am making a mental and physical note of my mistakes last bull run and try not to repeat. And I try to predict contingencies peculiar to the coming bull run and avoid them. We cannot control all the factors but we can do our best. I'm not walking away from this bull run with anything less $5k-$15k

Good goal you have on your hands, by the end of 2025, let's see if you've achieved that goal nicely or not, I wish you the best with it. Today has seen BTC hit 80k and 81k at the same time. New ATH

What a time to be alive bro. $BRC is doing the most. Please do you know any trail on Hive that I can join?

I don't about any trail, I doubt people use it that much these days

Okay bro, thanks.

This is true Joe and I must commend your determination to embark on the journey of knowing God more...trust me, it's not as easy task but his Grace is always available for us

Yeah, lots of emotions in relation to crypto. My challenge here is when to take profit and when to wait. I see a decent pump in one of my alts and I have been tempted to sell it before I cry 😃

For me, it's more about being able to actually have a new heart devoid of the previous feelings and hurt I've felt over the year, because truly one cannot harbor these feelings and call themselves children of God.

As for crypto, if any alt you invest in, moons, you can actually take profit, wait to see if it dips then buy back or you can as well leave it till when it's full alt season

Emotions are your own worst enemy when it comes to a lot of things. It's especially the case when it comes to the markets because you lose sight of other things going on.

Exactly, you just lose sight of what's actually going on and sometimes some people just pay dearly for it.

I read a post from @takhar a few days ago about greed. When I read it, I felt like it was a sign for me too. A sign to try to take profits slowly on our way up. I sold prematurely in 2021 and have been afraid to make the mistake again this year.

But also, I realized that I’ve been banking on hypothetical profits so much that I might end up on the wrong side of the market if market sentiment changes. And I’m doing that because I have this illusion that well since BTC only just made new ATHs, the bull market must just be beginning now.

Thankfully, I believe that wake up call de-radicalized me, and I am watching the market from a “anything can happen any time” lens once again.

Well 2021 was the bull year, 2025 will be the bull year, most people made mistakes and it's not a thing to be ashamed of. If you sold too early, at least you now understand the dynamics of the market and it's certain you won't be making the rookie mistakes of 3 years ago. Although I feel that there will be newer mistakes made in this cycle, but every cycle teaches you something different

Yes, I think you are right in both situations. Many are trying to avoid mistakes they made in 2021 (including myself), and we might, unfortunately, make new ones. But at least we learn and reduce both the amount and the types of mistakes we made from cycle to cycle. Or at least that's what should happen, because if we don't learn there are missed opportunities, losses we need to swallow, and time that passes.

I think we're all trying to avoid one mistake or the other, but then we'll eventually make new mistakes, but then I think every cycle will bring it's own lessons and experiences as well. Overall we get to learn. The more cycle we get, the better we become
