Honesty or not: My perception 🧐

in #hive-1688692 years ago

When I visited the community these days, I could not help but get hooked on the topics proposed by Mr. @galenkp who I hope is doing much better. These proposed topics leave in evidence situations that put as main course the values and principles of each person, this without judging each decision. Welcome.

Today I'm going to take the theme concerning the clothes not included in the bill. I want to say that although something like this has never happened to me, I do consider that this situation highlights the integrity and honorability of a person.

To call yourself a person of integrity, you must be a person who has other values rooted in your heart, these are respect, responsibility, humility, empathy and solidarity. I could not keep something, for which I have not paid knowing that the person I bill will be responsible for paying for this item. What guarantee do I have that this person will actually be able to cover that expense or keep their job because of such an accident.

Also, I wouldn't have that feeling of fulfillment wearing a garment that I don't own or was not given to me as a gift. I don't know, it's just not in me to take possession of something, so I haven't compensated for the cost. It is something like indirect theft. Not all of us are or think the same way, there will be people who will take this opportunity as a kind of lottery, but in my case it is not like that.

I tend to act with honesty and humility, because I don't know if that unpaid garment could be part of a social experiment to see what the buyers of that particular store are made of. Something like a "concha e' mango" as they call it in my country.

It may sound crazy, but in life many crazy things can happen.

Happy weekend and see you in the comments.

Hey @maydelvalle, you have a great piece here. Truth be told, one needs a lot of this quality to have a smooth life. Nevertheless, having them is not a guarantee to having a good relationship with everyone.
