This weekend will always be so special to me, because I happened to be the one to find newborn foal. I went to check a mare who was supposed to give birth in the next days, as that is my favorite horse from the stable, and as I got there she was on the ground and got up when I came. I thought maybe she got scared from me and felt bad because I didn't want her to get up, and then I noticed something coming out of her. I thought maybe she started to give birth and just I was about to call someone to get there, I saw she actually stood up to show me her foal. I was so happy to see foal looks good and healthy. And it was also my first time to see a foal so young and small.
As we had to go to visit my grandparents, I didn't spend much time then with foal. But I was joking that it's my foal now. Turns out, it's not "finders keepers" situation, but I did get the opportunity to name her. So if you have any suggestion for a female horse name, for a black elegant horse, do tell me in the comments. I had a name but male one.
In the village it was pretty much usual weekend, good food and time with dogs.
But what was different about it, was a very interesting sunset. When you look at it, it didn't look as unusual, but it gave a weird orange look to everything around (specially if looking from the house). It almost felt like someone put a filter.
The next day, I went to check foal and mom, and foal already looked bigger to me. Mare was still a bit tired and mostly laying down, but foal was already curious and looking around and exploring. I will make some better photos in the next days of them.
All photos were taken using Samsung S20.
Thank you for reading my post ^^
